As the days get colder

We become another winter older

Days passing by

With a warm winter sigh

We are taught to see

What has come to be

The sacred change with moons

Saying new life will be here soon

This natural change each year

To the eye can bring a tear

As one thing passes away

We begin a brand new day

Though the cold seems to last

As though it will never come to pass

The spring will come again

And there shall be new life then
