A little girl, no more than seven years old, stood in the darkness. Some black hair hung loosely in her face, while the rest cascaded delicately down her back. A beautiful pink bow rested on the top of her head, keeping most of her hair out of her face.

Having come from one of her parents annual parties, she was wearing a pink ball gown. The skirt swayed and bounced as she moved closer to the center of the room.

Her face was blank, for she was lost within her mind. Her gaze was set intently on a pink noose which hung from somewhere above, though it was shrouded in darkness. Almost hypnotically she stepped closer to the noose.

A shape started to form beneath the rope, a shape made by the darkness itself. Stepping o n the solidified shadows, she grabbed the noose and hesitantly placed it around her neck. The darkness below her slowly started to sink, and soon she was hanging limply from the noose, her feet hidden in the swirling darkness.

Her face remained emotionless, though her eyes showed the truth. Her eyes showed pain, sorrow, and loneliness. She was about to cry as her eyes glazed over, hiding her emotions. A tear cautiously made its way down her cheek as her body was swallowed by the shadows, seemingly knowing that the terrible deed was done.
