Gina and I went to "Back to School Night" at David's Middle School. I have to say I am getting old! We met all of his teachers as well as his guidance couseler. His health teacher and Guidance Counseler both were so YOUNG! My God, they looked like they should still be in High School.
I then realized that next year our oldest Daughter Allie will be a Teacher. Parents will be comming in to "Back To School Night" and Miss Allie will be their kids teacher. Yep...I'm feeling pretty ancient!
I am totally bummed about T-Bone's self deletion. I will miss his humor, his amazing graphics skills and just his being here.
I wish he had explained the reasons behind his departure, but also understand that it was his decision to keep it to himself.
If you're still wandering around as a "visitor" reading stuff...I miss already you my friend.
My 13 year old son had a revelation the other day.
We were in the car driving to the store. He says to me; "Dad, do you know what? Eore, from Winnie the Poo...He's an Emo!".
LOL I just busted out laughing!
It's nice to be living in a house again.
I'm sure in a month or so I'll be bitching about doing yard work, but today I did it cheerfully with a smile on my face!
My lawn mower and gas string trimmer have been in storage for 5 years. The "Start on the diest pull" mower I have usually took about 10 pulls to start back when I was using it. I chenged the oil in it, cleaned off the spark plug, filler it with gas and figured I would have an hour of screwing with it to make it work...nope fist pull and it was going! The string trimmer has been finicky since the day I bought it. I made up a gresh oil/das mix, cleaned the spark plug, and it too started on the first pull!
So I cut the grass and did most of the "weed wacking" until the line ran out. Tomorrow I will go buy some more line and finish up.
It was a beautiful day today, and it was nice to do yard work again.
