Thoth made me think lyriics...that reminded me of one of those moments when you want to go back 30 seconds in time and unsay what you just said.





It's right after dad's surgery and my sister, Erin, and I are in the car heading to the drug store to fill his prescription for discharge. "Jet Airliner" came on the radio...you know the lyrics, "Big ol Jet airliner...don't carry me too far away."



Sadly, I thought I knew them, too. I say to Erin, "I love that song...it always makes me feel better."

E: Why?

J: Because he leaves the light on.

E: Who:

J: Jed.

E: What are you talking about?

J: The song. You know, "Big ol Jed had a light on. "

E: You're shitting me.

J: What?

E: You're serious?



I'll spare you the rest of the ugliness where she proceeded to kill off my lifelong buddy, Jed. I still miss Big ol Jed. :(
