I know I have not stepped completely in,
but I cannot think beyond my habit.
I cannot see beyond this day,
and I all of my plans have gone astray.
I want out!
If you lend a hand,
I'll lend two but
never expect the arm,
the leg, and least of all,
the heart.
Two forces- hot and cold
Meet in the middle
As loud a thunder and
As bright as lightening.
Both meet at a point
that shoots up in flame
under their might.
The point, though charred
Recuperates, and begins anew.
Win or lose,
You’re disappointed in the war.
Win or lose or stalemate,
Blood is blood; they swim in it,
Then wash it off with their sweat and tears.
Win or lose or silence,
The war wages on and
You’re left behind
With the casualties but
Without a fight
Or a worry.
