Six Feet Under

11:04 Mar 27 2007
Times Read: 821

I watched the show finale of Six Feet Under on Bravo tonight. I bought video tapes today (in that storm, yes!), so I could have the last 3 episodes. They are intense and I may have to wait to watch them again with Danny. He was at work, so I taped them for him.

Six Feet Under is wonderful. It's an excellent show. It will start up again next Monday night usually at 8pm, central time. There are usually 3 episodes per Monday night. So check it out next week! Your chance to see it start again and end.

The show finale shows how each person passes away at the end of their lives. It is really sad and I cry when I watch it. I had forgotten how much I loved the characters and how intense it is to see their cycle of life in their family alone. It takes you right to the heart of your own mortality and makes you weep for us all.

I found this on YouTube! This starts out with Nate, who has just passed away and is now a ghostly figure, is waking his sister up, who is about to leave home for the first time and move to New York. She is saying goodbye to her mother, brother and his "husband" and their two boys. Then it shows how each person in the family pass.

Fiber One cereal----can you poop?

10:58 Mar 27 2007
Times Read: 825

I have researched much on pooping and you would not believe how many people can't poop properly. If you are one, then don't feel alone. I have read about people that have to use enemas everyday, laxatives, you name it. One person in a thread hadn't gone in 18 days. Poor person!

Do I sound like a commercial? ha.....

Fiber One...works.

That and Prune Candy.

I have no comment on myself, personally, at this time.

Spring, diggin' it!

10:54 Mar 27 2007
Times Read: 827

Spring is finally here. You all know how I love my spring. It has been so nice out. There has also been tons of rain. Even loving that. Everything is so green and coming up nicely, blooming. We went to Wal-Mart and bought a lot of flowers to plant. They are having a sale. $1 for each. Yay Wal-Mart! I also bought another bonsai tree. So cute.

I had Fox news on, on O'Reilly....now it's Fox Mulder on TNT.

Fox news is the only news that is actually not biased generally and has both sides on there to make it balanced. Anyone that says they hate Fox news obviously has never watched it to make that unfair and ignorant remark.

Back to spring.......

It was raining today again and in moved scary storms. Danny and I went to pay bills and I tanned. It started raining while I was in tanning and by the time we got home, it was raining too hard for me to get out. Danny jumped out and went inside, but I stayed in the car, waiting for it to lighten up. ha.....well, I called him from the car and we were shooting the shit when he asked me, "You hear that? It's the sirens!". "No shit, really? No way! I don't hear them!". It was pouring on me in the car, so I didn't hear them.....until I got out of the car. I ran in the house and turned on my doppler radar I have installed on my pc from the best in the country, the Oklahoma City dopplers.

We called Harmony to come home but she ended up staying where she was til it was over. The tornado started around Vance Air Force base, where it always does, and moved around town, jumped up and over us to land jjjjjjjjust a bit east of us. I mean, JUST a bit east of us. We could see the swirling clouds above us. The TV was doing it's warning screen and it was pretty crazy for awhile. That's around the time that the weather man, Mike Morgan, was telling of the rotation and where it was, and it was one to a few streets over.

Crazy.

Welcome spring!

I have been wearing shorts though for months. I couldn't wait. But I can wear my spring dresses more now and lighter jackets and outfits.

I am really into comfy mode now though.....I don't dress up as often. And I don't work out as much either. I still do. Oh yes, every night. But I am not a nut about it anymore..........

.....which explains why I am more lumpy, have gained a few pounds and have more dimples on my ass and thighs. Ugh.

*sigh*

But, on the other hand.......I am eating more. That rocks! hahaha......

I am, though, still a nut about health. It drives me crazy. I wish I could relax more and have a more relaxed attitude towards getting older and passing away. As Zen and Reiki Master as I am, I still can't get past that fear of the unknown awaiting us all. It's like I am constantly afraid of that shoe that will inevitably drop....and I hope I have good insurance. And the same with my loved ones. I am constantly....."Are you ok?" and a big "WHEW!", in my mind and body when they are.

Danny was dizzy at work the other night. He didn't tell me because he knew I would worry. Of course, I would. He was dizzy another time and couldn't get his balance for awhile. If one were reading signs and symptoms that could very well be transient ischemic attack (TIA)...meaning a stroke is coming. I attributed it to low blood sugar though. And I believe I am right. I mean, shit, I get dizzy too. Often. It is because my mind works fast. Too much going on. ;) I work on slowing that down.

UK trying to suppress music

02:16 Mar 25 2007
Times Read: 831

The Government have recently passed laws in the UK to try and suppress live music.

Pubs which could previously offer work to solo musicians or duos now have to pay for a special licence and can only have 12 of these per year

Even school Xmas concerts need to be licensed.

The unlicensed provision of even one musician is a potential criminal offence (although some places are exempt, including places of public religious worship, royal palaces and moving vehicles). Max penalty: £20,000 fine and six months in prison (for the proprietor and the musicians).

The rationale is to prevent noise, crime and disorder, to ensure public safety, and the protection of children from harm. But broadcast entertainment, including sport and music, is exempt - no matter where, and no matter how powerfully amplified. For the first time, private performances raising money for charity will need a licence.

School performances open to friends and family will need a licence - they count as public performances.

If you want to add your name to the petition (currently more than 27,000 people have joined the list), please click on the following link (it takes less than a minute)...

http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/licensing/

If this law is implemented, it will be disastrous for music and musicians in the UK, and will threaten to return Britain to "the land without music" that it was internationally considered to be after Cromwell's infamous ban on music.

If you choose to sign the petition, please tell your friends so we can stop this despicably destructive act from coming into being.

"Create Portfolio"

Fuck.

Meanwhile, The Craft is on behind me. And I know what you did last summer is coming on next. I have been looking for that to be on in the past week or so. I knew it would be on soon. Thursday nights are usually good for movies, actually.

My dad had to call and get me all riled up, make me cry. He likes to control everyone and tries to do it from long distance, being a truck driver and in Arizona right now. It ended with him saying, "Do whatever you want to do." and hanging up on me. I was so pissed, and called Danny and mom. Mom said, "Fuck it, do what you need to do and I will take care of him.". Danny said, "We will stay in a motel then!". We are going over there tomorrow for mom's birthday.

I am also going to the Dr. tomorrow at 11:15am. It's going to be hard to get up and do that and then go to mom's. I could be very tired and cranky. I have to get med refills and ask the Dr. about the leg cramps I have been having the past few weeks. It scares me. What is it?!! Plus, concerns about a private situation. You don't want to know.

Man, I had the hardest time logging in! My password wasn't working. I had to wait 10 minutes because I kept trying to log in and it said it was the wrong password. Had it sent to my email......Now I have to change it. Odd that if someone was trying to get in my account, that they didn't change anything or do anything. ? Oh hell, I forgot where to change my password. ha...haven't had to do that in AGES.

I did lose my port pics though. No way to back it up. Ugh, that took sooooo long to put together.

Harmony found this site where they post new cartoons up everyday, I guess. So off the wall, and so funny.

hit and run

02:08 Mar 03 2007
Times Read: 865

In December we finally got our Honda from our friend Neil. After wanting a Honda since 1985, we are finally buying one, and from a friend. We had to wait for at least 2 years for him to decide to sell it and fix it up to sell it. I don't like being patient and having to wait for so much, but life makes me. I really like instant gratification. Life is too short to wait for fun and pleasure! Jeez...

I don't care that it's a 1997. I love it. So I am really paranoid and careful with it.

We got hit last Saturday night (2am, so it was actually Sunday morn) in the taco mayo drive thru. Did I tell you? It was right after the bars were letting out, and we just knew she had just gotten out of Scooters. We knew the chick driving. She is a loud mouthed, obnoxious drunk that likes to pull Danny's hair when drunk. She was in front of us driving a Jaguar. She was being obnoxious and yelling at the guy taking the order and they didn't have what she wanted, so they sat and then backed up and we honked and yelled, but she hit us anyway. Moved our whole car around. Danny got out and said, "Don't hit my fucking car!", and was walking back to the car as she was apologizing and then the guys in the car yelled, "Fuck you!" to Danny and they drove off. I got the tag and Danny called the cops. The car behind us saw it all and waited for the cops too and told him. The chick that saw it was an air force chick. They didn't have her name or that she even saw it on the report! Nor did it say anything about whether the chick got a ticket or not for the hit and run. She claimed she didn't know she hit us, but bullshit; she did! The cop wrote that she got her order and left and didn't know she hit us. That is all wrong. They didn't get their order, they knew they hit us, and they took off after yelling obscenities. He didn't put any of that in the report.

So we call the insurance company and since we don't have full coverage, we have to call their insurance company and do all of it ourselves. We did and told the story about 5 times to different people, in addition to the one I talked to today. The chick that hit us has not called them back and if she doesn't then they can't file that she is liable! And if that doesn't happen then we are screwed. I mean, what the fuck?! Where is the law in this? If it were us, we would have the insurance company on our asses, cops calling, blah blah blah..............how can someone hit our car, take off, and get away clean? I don't understand that at all.

Right after we got our Buick in 2000...or was it 1999?, my brother hit it and then a friend, Laura hit it. It was parked both times and their faults. What gives, man?
