For some crazy reason, my portfolio was suspended at the end of January, while I was busy with life, because I had pictures of the moon, that someone thought were too good, I guess to be mine. This really upset me to have a message waiting on me accusing me of stealing someone else's pictures and posting them as my own. Their message written to me said that they had seen those pictures online and so they thought I had stolen them. *sigh*
Now, those that know me, 1. Know I am a photographer chicky and take a shitload of artistic pictures and use photo editing programs. 2. Know that I freak out over drama, discord, rocking the boat, confrontations. 3. Know that I can't hold injustices inside without saying something.
I wrote the person and told them that there are about a million moon photos on the net and they are going to pretty much look the same. To say that MINE are the ones that look stolen was crazy to me. And not all were in question, apparently, even though they were really close to the same angles and shots in general. Not sure about that.
Anyway, by the time I came to Rave, the suspension had been lifted by someone else and the picture in question had been removed. Fuck that. I put it back. It's mine, I took the fucking picture, and so it's back for your viewing pleasure.
I have spoken with the chicky that first suspended it and she was very cool about it and we are all fine and cool with each other. But I do not know who removed the suspension and my moon picture, which, btw, I am quite proud of. How many people do you know that has had shots like that?
The problem is, it shouldn't have been suspended. And it makes me look like a fucker that doesn't abide by the rules, which I do. *sigh* When it's broken down to the core issue, it really hurt my feelings. It's almost like it was a strike against my character saying I stole a picture and claimed it to be mine...immoral. And you all know how hard I work at keeping peace and morality in my life. Very important to me.

stick to your guns hun, I would think the onus is on the accuser to prove that you stole it, whereas you would obviously be able to show that you have similar pics, looking the same cos it's hard to get that perfect pic first time (lord knows I've tried lol)
I've got stuff that looks like what you described, you know you took it so repost it :)

The thing is darling, once you have made ripples on this site.. you are never forgiven, and everything you do will be made out to be twice as bad as it really is. I am shocked, that the writing about you in Purgatory is still allowed to be there. You, and I both put in a good lot of hard effort to get this website of the ground, a fact which is all but forgotten now. Is it no wonder Jason doesn't even bother anymore.
