Bunny Boy part 1

" I am going to go to the park to ride my bike." Matthew Conners said to his mother as he hopped on his bicycle and peddled off to Donovan park. Fall leaves littered the streets of the suburb as he made his way down Clark street then leaned right onto Thomson Blvd. Little Matthew Conners stopped at the beginning of the bike trail leading into Donovan park and observed a strange sight to the small grassy hill to the right of him. It was a small boy not older than 4 sitting on a red tricycle and wearing a pink dirty bunny suit. The tricycle looked old and worn like an antique from the 1950s. The pink bunny suit looked like it was pulled out of a dumpster, the grime on the pink bunny suit made the small boy look like some kind of feral animal. Then there was even something stranger about the young boy, Matthew adjusted his glasses and squinted at the boy that is when he realized that the boy's eyes where completely glossy jelly black. It was like the strange bunny boy's eye sockets where filled with blackberry jam. Matthew pushed away with his foot and peddled along the bike path. The bunny boy just gave him a stone faced look following him with his black jelly eyes.



Matthew Conners raced along the bike path splashing through puddles as he went along. Just then he heard something coming up behind him, 'squeak, squeak, squeak' he looked behind him and to his surprise it was the kid from earlier the bunny boy his dirty fuzzy rabbit ears flopping in the wind as he peddled along. Matthew peddled harder to out run the bunny boy yet the tricycle kept up with him, the child's dirty pink fuzzy legs a blur. "No way!" Matthew said with amazement as the small bunny child passed by him. The bunny boy then stopped in front of Matthew causing him to skid on his bike nearly crashing into the bunny boy. Matthew and the bunny boy kind of looked at each other saying nothing the bunny boy staring expressionless. "Whats wrong with your eyes?" Matthew asked bunny boy. The bunny boy just sat there on his tricycle his face void of any expression whatsoever saying nothing. Matthew looked uneasy then said, "Uh, hey you wanna race?" Then Matthew pushed forward and rode past the bunny boy playfully shouting, "Come catch me kid!" The bunny boy chased after him. Matthew peddled hard but the bunny boy slowly gained on Matthew's right. Matthew didn't notice but the bunny boy was slowly pulling out a butcher knife from the back flap of his fuzzy bunny costume. Caught of guard Matthew screamed in pain as the bunny boy slashed the knife deep into Matthew's Achilles heel sending him crashing off of his bike. Matthew's glasses flew off of his blonde head, his right white sock turn a dark crimson red with blood. He then felt a sharp knife go through his chest then he started to go numb slowly fading as the bunny boy sat on Matthew's stomach gripping the knife handle with both hands stabbing Matthew repeatedly. For Matthew the horrible image of the bunny boy lifting the large knife over his head and driving it deep into his body slowly faded to black.
