I was on a roll this holiday weekend...recorded more movies!
- Green Zone
- Black Swan
- Inception
- The Road
- The Tomb
- Les Miserables (I've seen this one and other versions of it a few times, but I still love it).
This is great for me, as I can no longer afford to buy DVDs like I use to; plus - I hate going to movie theaters for the most part, as they're usually always freezing, and many of the other patrons I'd like to shoot.
Since there were a lot of premium cable channels for free this long holiday weekend, I recorded a lot of stuff:
- The Time Traveler's Wife
- The Social Network
- Invictus
- Tron:Legacy
- Robin Hood
- Scott Pilgrim vs the World
- The Town
As I've only watch The Social Network, I still got a lot of cool movies to watch...yah!

OoooOOOO! I lurve Robin Hood! Guess what I seen yesterday? The stage production of, " "little women" It was brilliant! I know how you also love the classics :£
Watching "The Future of Fear" on Chiller.
Very interesting and entertaining, as it covers all aspects of horror films, ie zombies, serial killers, vampires, etc. Cool!
COMMENTS
Sounds awesome - is this something I could get through Netflix?
I miss Chiller. *sobs*
After I called my mom, I spent my Thanksgiving day vegged out in front of the TV, with major stomach pains. Whoopee.

=/ Oh, boo!
Hope you had a good one!
Nooooo. I'm sorry. :(
*big hugs*
After not being here for four days in a row last week, my level dropped considerably. Just now, I got back into the 112 level - yipee!

I've been stuck in the same level for 2 months. I think VR is punishing me.
It's raining...and I have a delicious cup of cranberry tea with lemon and sugar. The kitties are sprawled out all over the place, nice and cozy. Today is a good day.
Rant.
The woman is just pissing off everyone. She continues to cough in her hand, give out orders, ask favors for folks to do shit fot her so that she doesn't have to move about, disappear for 5- 20 minutes 2-3 times a day, take extra long breaks, etc.
With the exception of co-workers and customers, no one believes me when I say that Big Momma falls asleep at the drop of a hat (And it must be raining hats)...This is a daily occurence.
A nice culinary student asked me on Tuesday if Big Momma had narcolepsy; I told her that I didn't know. The student stated that while she was taking a break, she witnessed Big Momma falling asleep while eating. Later, she attempted to prop up her head with a cup, but it didn't work, as the cup couldn't hold up her head...it came crashing to the floor, spreading ice everywhere (And no - Big Momma' didn't clean it up. She got the student to 'help' her)...
On Monday, I took two pictures of her dozing off while counting her till at the end of her shift. While it should take 15 - 20 minutes to balance out, it usually takes Big Momma over an hour...mainly because she falls asleep in the middle of counting.
Sometimes, she stands up in an attempt to stay awake...but she falls asleep while standing or being hunched over as well. And yes...she snores.
We had a staff meeting today. She was more alert than usual...she nodded off only 2 - 3 times. If Big Momma has narcolepsy in addition to sleep apnea, she needs to address it better, or get disability or something. She has medical benefits, after all. Me and my painful stomach attacks don't.
End rant.
COMMENTS
I believed you! But shit, to actually see it is something else entirely.
She must have blown them away at her interview though...
What if she does that while driving and kills someone? Kinda scary.
From what I was told, she had a great resume, and was hired by a previous manager. And she doesn't drive, thank God. She takes a bus to work, and falls asleep many times, missing her stops...good grief!
I bet big Moma's Moma turns her in bed so she don't get bed sores!
*cringes*
God, im so sorry you gotta deal with that turd.

What is... things you don't want to hear your gynecologist say?
LMAO - thanks!
(I stole this from my coven forum - and I'm stuck in the 70's and 80's)

Nice lol.
1970's ahoy. o.o :D
Guess I'm living in the 80's and 90's. Lmao.
1950's panties! Not that anyone is seeing mine, now or in the forseeable future! :P
heheh, I freekin love this!
>.>
Boyshorts is what I wear, so I guess the closest to that would be in the 1950's. LOL
Holy shit, I wasn't even a twinkle in my dad's eye yet!
(I was born in '87... LOL)
So - the head boss wants me to be the cashier/hostess in the bistro. No more money, as I'd be doing the same shit - only in a nicer setting. (Well actually, the work would be easier, as I'd sit on my ass for about 50% of the time). Anyway - I have no great clothes to wear...no shoes either. All of my clothes are shit.
The register is set up differently, so I have to learn it. It shouldn't be hard. Right when I was getting my mind around this, I find out that Mai wants the job. She heard of the position from another source ...not by the boss. She has senority, but she has crappy clothes too - lol. And the boss thinks I'll fit in a lot better than her - she isn't 'poised' as he would say. Shit - I say - let her have it. They keep forgetting that once I complete my pharmacy tech studies, I'll be looking for another job.
And Big Momma is working on my last nerve. When I took over her station on Wednesday, she left snotty tissues, used cups, and empty juice and pie containers everywhere. (We aren't suppose to eat at our stations). I went into the office while she was counting her money/nodding off, and told her. She stated that she didn't leave any mess, and I asked her to go look. As she was too lazy to get up, she then apologized. I put on gloves, threw away the crap, and wiped everything down with Greenworks...wished I had Lysol or Pine-Sol instead.
And on Thursday, when I saw her in the break area standing up asleep, snoring, with an empty pie container on the table, I wanted to stab her.
COMMENTS
Dude....GROSS!!! What the hell is her problem? Oh god.....I am sooooo sorry. :(
Sleep apnea, maybe also narcolepsy, overeating, eating unhealthy foods, drinking tons of soda and sugary juices, no exercise, not using sleep apnea machine, DENIAL...I could go on. The woman isn't capable of performing her tasks, so she needs to go. Hopefully, when the bosses get their info together, they can get rid of her.
Thankfully though once you finish your studies, you will be gone and you wont deal with such people as her.
Hatch a plan hunny.. hatch a plan, this woman has to go!
I haven't been here in the last four days...I was too tired and stressed out to sit in front of the computer.
I got some catching up to do!

I'll forgive you. . . . If you chuck more priest photos our way. . . . . mmmm, lmao!
LOL - right there with ya!
Well...some kids are actually alright.
While I was walking merrily to the train station this morning, I tripped over my own feet and went - SPLAT - on the ground. I landed on my knees mostly, but fell over on my arms as well. (Maybe my purse is really too heavy)...Anyway, I landed right across the street form a middle school. There were two girls and two boys who were nearby, and they all rushed over to help me. I was more embarrassed than anything else (Well - my knees are still aching, one is skinned, I skinned my left forearm, and messed up a few fingers)...Anyway, once my ass was up from the ground, I sat on a low wall to get my bearings. The kids stayed with me for awhile, even though they didn't have to. I told them that I was still a dork at my age, and they laughed. Nice kids. Yeah...so much for my rant on hating kids.
I love children...cooked medium and served with a small salad.
- CarnelianMyst
This fine quote expresses how I feel towards most kids of middle school and high school age.
While there are a few good eggs, the majority of the ones I see should have all been drowned at birth.
Frankly - I hate smart-mouthed, disrespectful, dumb kids - kids who have no respect for authority nor for themselves. A lot of them are dumb as hell, and instead of picking up a 'real' book to read, they opt for hours of gaming. Now - there's nothing wrong with gaming, but if that's all that they do, besides eating too many sweets, getting pissed off when they don't get their way, etc...what the fuck?
After work today, I'm walking down the street, and I see around 100 kids on the street. I am not exaggerating with the numbers either. I figured that I walked upon the tail end of a major fight. Once I got through the maze of evil spawn, I saw two women standing halfway in the street. I asked them what was going on, and one replied that she was an apartment manager, waiting for the police; she stated that the horde of kids had chased a kid - one of her tenants - into the complex. He made it home, but the horde remained outside, yelling and throwing shit. The woman almost got hit in the face with a brick.
Ah...the further decline of civilization.
I hate kids.
COMMENTS
Babies I love...kids, when they start to whine and screech and act like they have lost their minds... not so much.
Little rat bastards lol.
o.o Kids=easy mobs. Fuckers.
Big Momma is working on everyone's nerves...
She's nodding off at her station more, coughing into her hands, then handling money and making coffee, and disappears for 15 - 30 minutes at a time, several times a day. As she is obese, and obesity is declared a disability, as of right now, there is nothing anyone can do to get rid of her ass. The head boss is looking into her medical stuff (he's got permission), met with and is waiting the outcome of meeting with a risk management guy, and awaiting final feedback from the human resources department (So far, they told him that he and Boss #2 have to wake her up anytime she falls asleep...WTF? Like they have to take time away from their busy schedules to babysit her ass)?
I and others - have told Big Momma repeatedly that she needs to cough and sneeze in her shirt sleeve, and not in her hands; there are several complaints about this. (I got three today)...Anyway, today when she took over 45 minutes to make ONE pot of coffee, and left a mess and unfinished tasks when I rushed over to make coffee (customers were complaining that there wasn't any), I just had it. I started two pots, apologized to the customers and told them that it would ready in five minutes...then I went to the office where both bosses were. I asked them to come out to the coffee station, and I showed them the chaos. I told them that everything was getting beyond ridiculous, and that something had to happpen - now. They said that stuff was in the works, and then the head boss took me out into a quiet area of the center. He stated that he understood what I and the others were dealing with, yet he had to be really careful on how to deal with everything, as he didn't want a potential lawsuit. I understood that, but I stated that it is still unfair - this woman gets paid to do practically nothing. The rest of us aren't getting paid to do extra shit and clean up behind her - to cover her lack of work. We are all frazzled and pissed off, while she is eating and sleeping.
When she disappeared for 20 minutes during the busy lunch rush, I had to take her place. (I'm the fastest and most accurate, so I don't see why they don't put me on more during the busiest time anyway...but I have a feeling that that will change though).
So - as it stands, we have to 'accomodate' her disability. Of course, she is doing absolutely nothing to help herself, as she keeps on eating and drinking unhealthy stuff, probably doesn't use her sleep apnea machine at night, and won't bother with a bare minimum of exercise.
Big Momma is nice as a person, but she is a horrible employee and co-worker.
And...today, police arrested a guy who was jerking off in the library.

While I was on here earlier - about 2.5 hours ago - the electricity went out. For the second time. I called my utility company and found out that the first outage was due to a downed powerline...no wonder I saw crews outside of my complex when I came in from work! Since it is very windy, I bet it messed up the lines again.
It's a good thing that I ate earlier. Took a shower and went to bed...I'm online now to make sure nothing got messed up, as I was typing...lol! Back to bed now...
The week so far...and it's only Tuesday:
* While I was keeping the coffee going yesterday morning, I get a woman who got some coffee and wouldn't stop talking. She bounced from subject to subject, went on about how she hates her brother, etc. I'm thinking that she is a loon. When she started cackling to herself, it was pretty much confirmed. Before she walked away to pay, she mentioned that the decaf was cold. I just shook my head...coffee usually gets cooled down when you add a ton of milk to it.
* I get a ghetto diva who is having shit fits over the price of the nachos and cheese she got. She goes on about how I'm trying to rip her off, etc. As she was getting loud, I was getting pissed. I just looked at her, like 'Really' and stated that she didn't have to buy the stuff in my usual calm tone. My boss was nearby and overheard the complaining, and came over. Apparently, she and Mai are aware of how this woman's nachos are prepared: She gets a $1 bag of Doritos, and has someone at the grill pour cheese over them for her...And how was I suppose to know this if she didn't mention it? I asked the woman "Why didn't you just tell me what you had? I'm not a psychic." Other customers laughed at my comment...what a fucking bitch. I wanted to rip off her falsh eyelashes.
* There is one culinary student - an older guy - who is very friendly. No biggie...until he started developing a crush on me. Good grief. I'm not interested...and if I was, he'd need some teeth.
* And...drumroll, please...while I'm waiting to hear the outcome, I must say that I'm still getting over the shock/nausea of hearing that two culinary students were caught fucking in the freezer.

Ok, time for Dee's Sacrilege corner ... But ... Are these guys doing a calendar? (Please say yes ...)
Omg, glasses. I'm such a sucker for glasses.
Oooh my, he's my favourite so far. I just wanna take him home and, oh my gosh.
Looks like he should be in a vampire movie lol
Where do you get these pictures of scruptous priests?
And I must say... It's a sin for them to look so good.
I might actually have to start attending church if he was the head priest...
lol
Like I said before, ladies...it's a Vatican secret. If I told you, I'd have to kill you!
My dear, you may kill me after I had some yum yum time with this hottie!
;p
Didn't dress up - not passing out candy this year either (Like I'll open my front door at night in this neighborhood...no thanks).
When I used to really get into it, I had some rad costumes over the years; I always tried to make the looks as authentic as possible: The Statue of Liberty; a can-can girl; a turn-of-the-century French painter (male); an ancient Egyptian princess; a cholo - complete with a moustache and goatee (male); a 1920's flapper; a Valkerie...you get the idea.
So - I saw some really great , well put together costumes today at the school: Mary Poppins, Dorothy (complete with a stuffed Toto); Marilyn Monroe in her iconic white halter dress; Batman (dude had a serious utility belt); A monarch butterfly; and that Gumby guy.
Of course, there were some really bad costumes, which were so bad that they were good/funny: A really large woman was a sliver fairy; various hookers; and my fave - a flambouyantly gay fat guy in black ballet tights, bodysuit, and a red tutu. He wore red toe point shoes too, with red devil horns in his short curly black wig. I asked him if he was Odile from Swan Lake - he had no idea what I was talking about. While whipping out a red lace fan, he loudly declared that he was a She Devil. Ooookay...

TOTALLY love The Road. The book was amazing and they kept it pretty much word for word.
Black Swan kicks ass too. And Les Mis is always a classic. The spoken word version or musical?
Awesome selections.
