My eyes are finally almost back to normal today.
While at work on Tuesday, my left eye became irritated - so much that I had to remove my lens.
It got so bad that I left work, and went to the internal clinic at the hospital.
By then, my right eye started acting up, so I also removed that lens. Note that I am legally blind without contacts or glasses, and I didn't have my glasses on me (I know to always fucking keep them on me now)!
Anyway - after NINE HOURS of waiting in painful agony, I was seen. I got at the clinic @ 10:30 am - a doctor saw me at 7:20 pm. I got lead to a dark room (remember - I can't see worth a shit) and was forgotten. REALLY? A few times, I wandered a lil' from the room, to an empty quiet hallway.
Okay - so by then, I was in pain, blind, and getting kind of creeped out.
Right when I was about to throw in the towel, a doctor sees me. She was very nice and professional - and looked like a high-school kid. During her complete eye exam, she put some drops in my eyes to numb the pain. Gee - why didn't anyone do this earlier?
She wrote a few prescriptions for stuff, but of course I couldn't fill them, as the pharmacy was already closed. I had to make my way - while trying to play it off, so I wouldn't become a crime victim - to the bus stop at night. Great...
I got home after 9 pm.
Wearing my glasses tomorrow for work, never mind that it's an old pair/prescription from 25 years ago. They still work.
