Oooookay.
I'm sitting here at my desk, typing away, with one of the blinds partially opened.
I see a crazy mother fucker walking up and down the street wearing a Spider Man mask.
For the life of me, I can't figure out how to end this thing!
Especially as a second book is evolving from it (in my head, anyway).
Well - at least I'm doing some editing. I don't believe in rushing projects, but I do want to finish this!
Aaaarrrggghhh!
Good grief. lol
I only had to return to work this week for today's lil' holiday potluck celebration. Half of those gathered - around 25 - were from the culinary department...lol.
Anyway, it was fun. It was raining pretty hard off and on, but that didn't put a damper on the fun. I made sure NOT to overeat...I wish that I could say the same about you-know-who. She sat at the end of another table, ate, messed around with her cell, and nodded off. She was rather unkempt too. Really...it's like - why even bother showing up?
Anyway, I stopped by my fave grocery store afterwards, picked up what little stuff I needed, and now I'm home. With the exception of MAYBE going to my sister's on Xmas, I don't plan on emerging from my apartment until after the New Year. Seriously!
You know...I wouldn't mind having to deal with listening to the neighbors having sex, if the woman didn't sound like a dying moose.
Back in the 80's, I was a huge new-wave and alternative rock fan. I've seen dozens of bands from that era, including Siouxsie and the Banshees (My fave band - twice), Midnight Oil (twice), Oingo Boingo, The B52's, PIL, amongst many others, and a ton of local bands.
One of the bands that I saw that I was also into was Missing Persons. While Dale Bozzio went from being a hot rocker chick to a jacked-up cat hoarder, one member of the band - the guitarist Warren Cuccurullo (He also played with Duran-Duran for a minute) is fucking fine...at the ripe 'old' age of 58.
Oh - and pics of him in his goddamn 40's:
From the 80's:
And after 2000:
Yummy yum-yum, ya'll!
I'm playing hooky from work today (short days all this week anyway, as we're closed for the holidays); finishing the writing of a novel, and enjoying every minute of it; music and coffee and a cranberry-orange muffin; happy cats lounging around as it's raining outside...it's all good!
I was told this once last week, and the week before, from Big Momma:
"Monique - why are you talking so loud?" she asked, with a grimace.
"I'm sorry - I'm just excited to be going home now, I guess." and "I'm not that loud, S----. Maybe you should wake the hell up."
Yeah - I said it. On several occasions, I and others have caught her DOZING OFF at her register.
"I wasn't asleep" is the usual reply from her.
"Yeah - you were" Al and I both answered together.
She muttered something like 'whatever' and then made a hissing cat noise to me (She always does that to me, as she thinks I'm mean. SO what, at this point).
Another employee knows that I want to shoot a few arrows at Big Momma, so she pulled out her phone to show me some bow and arrow sets on sale for Christmas.
"I'll get you one if you let me watch you hit the target..." she tells me.
Okay...this goddamn Best Buy add keeps popping up and GROWING, all over my screen.
Funny how there's no X to delete it.
(As a premium member, I thought that we got fewer ads...)?
So much for logging on.

I haven't seen it at all. But I have ABP installed- you can get it free and not have to worry about stuff like that: https://adblockplus.org
Thanks...will look into it NOW!!! LOL!
That's been happening to me too:-(
I'm getting that now with the damn movie ad for Woman in Black- it is THOROUGHLY pssing me of
Holy crap.
A HUGE storm is on its way late tonight/early tomorrow morning. Big, as in schools will be shut down, amongst other places.
I think that part of the news is mostly hype, although I also know that it will be a big deal if it actually hits us. We don't get this kinda' shit here
(It's a Mid-West type of storm).
We still need water, but not that much. We don't need the predicted 60 - 80 mph winds either.
Hell - this is suppose to be earthquake country, goddammit.
We're so spoiled here. People in other parts of the country laugh at us when we complain about 'cold or hot weather' (We have a perfect Mediterranean climate).
Anyway - I hope that the power will still be on. If not...I'll see ya'll around here...one day. lol
This is the last week for the semester, then back next week to clean.
Then, I'm off for a lil' over a month (which is a good and a bad thing, ie time to write and draw, but no $ coming in).
In any case, I need a break from the stupidity, laziness, whining, craziness, and weird B.O.
Killing an animal in the most humane way possible, to survive is one thing; killing one - many times with bad multiple shots - is entirely another.
On 60 Minutes, I just saw a video of lions being shot, via 'canned lion hunting'...lions that were raised and cuddled by humans as cubs, by the way.
I wish that I could go out and shoot every last one of the hunters...and hang their heads up as trophies...in a lions' den.

Cuddled? Then killed? That's disgusting. Makes me sad.
Sign me up...I'll go hunt the humans with you!!!!
Finally...rain. And a moderate amount for three days.
Not that I want to go out into it tomorrow though. Still...we need it desperately.
