@Irony hmmm my poem is going to flood me out I bet.
I haven't been around for a bit because I have been ill (yeah, getting old I know) and had to be in hospital for a few days. I really want to get back on track with things but very annoyingly, my main computer has died so I can't do any work at all. All I get to do right now is relax and take it easy which is boring as all hell.
Please send positive thoughts towards my computer in the hope that it will spontaneously fix itself. I have SO much work to do now that by the time it is up again I will be spending 23 hours a day painstakingly painting grass:P
If you can think of fun things to do in the meantime for someone who is meant to be laying down and taking it easy a lot, lay them on me. Apparently scrubbing the kitchen floor and catching up on housework is now a hanging offence so I am trapped with my laptop in bed:(
Hospitals are no place for sick people, they never let you rest and play the the lights and beeping noises all night long... lol I recommend playing Mahjong :)
Ok, this is health news and that is fairly boring, but I am kind of pleased about it.
I have really severe vitamin D deficiency. Despite having a D rich diet, apparently my inability to go out in the sunshine, combined with medications that kerbstomp it, has left me with just trace amounts in my body.
I know that sounds sucky and you are probably wondering why I am so pleased about it. Well, my rheumatologist is one of the rare breed who actually do think vitamins and the like are important and he is going to be prescribing me D and Calcium supplements and keeping an eye on my progress.
If this works it could relieve a lot of my pain and... it could actually make the weight fall off me properly. Apparently D deficiency is linked to difficult weightloss, so I may have something to grin about by the new year.
I have started on my project painting again today. I gave myself a deadline though I can only manage a few hours at a time. I have to say though that the grass is looking really nice now:) It feels good to have accomplished something for a change:)
Very true, I hope it works out for you. I don't know if they make vit. D in sublingual form (under the tongue) but if they do you might try that. It'll bypass your gut and goes right into the blood stream. I have to take b-12 that way since my stomach can't absorb it.
