Me: I caught a squirrel!



Jenn: That makes me think of this



How did you catch it?



Me: I sneaked up on him uber carefully.

Anjali: bwow lol



Me: My hair... I know. Yikes!!



Seti: It got blown around in all the chasing and wind



Anjali: I was talking about the squirrel lol



Me: His hair was naturally awesome. lol



Anjali: Is it uh.. you know... dead?



Whitney: eh....something's up with that squirrel. o-0 he shouldn't be that relaxed or calm, especially in that position. He's gotta be sick...

Whitney: XD NUUU!



Me: I saw him in the street flicking his fluffy tail around as he laid in the sun.. So I drove the rest of the way home from work and walked back to where he was. I started sneaking right at the edge of the street and was so focused I almost got hit by a cable truck! So I ran back while the truck went by and looked over and Mr. Squirrel was still laying there flipping his tail around to tease me.



Whitney: ‎0-o..really...not...right...



Me: So again I went sneaking out into the street (after checking for traffic) and I got closer and closer and he held very still and just twitched his tail around enough to keep me interested. Then except for his tail he seemed a little too still and I thought "This little guy is super brave." And was impressed. And then I poked him with my toe expecting him to run off laughing at me. (I forgot a stick) and he didn't run away so I caught him and he was just really mellow and relaxed the whole time. He was warm and squishy but not like crunchy squishy... he was dead. Very freshly dead. I probably scared the poor thing the rest of the way to death. If you have a dead squirrel in one habd and wire cutters in the other hand people will leap off the sidewalk to let you pass. And NO I did not catch him with the wire cutters. I caught him with my bare hands.



Anjali: So yay to the squirrel army then?



Whitney: XD why not?



Me: I... don't have enough left to start the army. The next one for sure though. How do you stuff them? I thought about posing it and freezing him and then hiding it in Seti's truck or something.



Me: I probably should have not mentioned that.. Now he'll start locking his doors o(
