Dear Students,

If Goth was a course of study how many would pursue it? Like if I were to open a new Goth school , how many would enroll? Wiki gave me a totally new definition of Goths - a nomadic tribe in medieval Europe (What!!!) . I didn't even know of the Gothic movement of the 1980s when it all began with Siouxsie and Peter Murphy and others.

Gothic according to me was -

1) the goth animez that I watched as a 13 year old with good looking leads

2) and Queen Of The Damned (like I first saw this film in 2007/08 and I fell in love with the lead and he wore balloon pants plus both the female leads were dark and beautiful , the stereotype vampire in my head was Count Dracula and his wives , all pale and sickly , And QOTD broke it ;

3)The Raven (My parents hugely objected to viewing such films and I could just catch some parts of the film,don't remember much about it now)

I wasn't exactly Goth all my teenage and now I've a feeling I've wasted all my teenage years. I did study a lot , what came out of it???? I learned a lot in school , maybe that will help me some day but I think I should 've taken more Arts subjects. Why did I ever feel at that time that Arts is inferior to Business or Science.

The Prodigal daughter (Me) found my way back to Goth Mama in my late teens , and Goth accepted me with arms open wide ; Yes Goth was more like me and I was more like Goth, I found out then....

I started speaking slowly , losing weight , wearing foundation , leaving my black hair open most of the time and watching horror or other dark goth related films and a lot of Vampire anime (for eg.Black Blood Brothers, Vampire Knight, Chibi Vampire Karin,etc.)

Wednesday Addams , the Addams family's daughter , first came in public view in the 40s as as a sweet girl with a psychopathic disposition . She has only one thing on her mind and that is Homicide. The Addams Family is a popular 90s show and has helped in popularizing the Alternate , even made it mainstream , and has garnered lots of fans. "Monday's child is fair of face, Tuesday's child is full of grace, Wednesday's child is full of woe, Thursday's child has far to go, Friday's child is loving and giving, Saturday's child works hard for a living, But the child who is born on the Sabbath day Is bonnie and blithe and good and gay."

So which is the child in you?

Sew tales or sew tale me is gonna be a series of vlogs about my new sewing machine... seems boring the kind that says how to thread a needle or fix a jam ,, wait there's more ... the machine I've got is a manual one (So STEAMPUNKISH ! and also the reason why most of mah vlogs will be Black n White) But one that'sWITHOUT A TREADLE neither is it the vintage ones that most Youtube Videos talk about, besides I am probably the first person in mah family who has got a knack for Art and stuff so it gets really weird trying to make my naive family understand what I'm doing , that i might make Designing a career choice BUT which for them is CRAP,, So join me as you learn The IndiLoli way of sewing alternative,punkish ,gothic dresses those that you always wanted to get your hands on and your guide to be the True You... :)

Sew Tell me 1 :After months of pleading my mommy finally bought me a sewing machine,

Firstly : i wanted an automatic but she wouldn't ever buy me that

I experimented on a Chinese product , as expected the needle broke after the first use and machine stopped working altogether a day later ( I wish I would've retained it to show you guys but I wasn't into Youtubing back then )

I would definitely not let my mom win this time and pestered her daily , ultimately she gave up and one fine day she took me buying...I recommended one with a Treadle but she bought one without the treadle again to save on the costs....

Secondly: I wanted it in Black but she bought me a bright green one with weird marks all over it (I was like " mom i want the black one , mom why are you doing this to me, wait don't pay yet , I want the black one" while the owner was like "God why s she doing it for a product thats definitely better than the black one, must be a bit loose up here" he definitely couldn't read my fetish for black),,,

Result : I ended up being waaay depressed but then I thought why not personalize it to suit my Tastes

Sew Tales 2 or Sew Tale me 2 :-

Lolita IQ or learning level :- 1.7)

Who says a Lolita need to stick to ruffles and cotton she can be wild and spunky if needs be,, she should be what she is ,, period !!! The other day I went shopping with my family and that is when I bought a denim dress and it was one of those buys which look attractive only on the mannequins in the store (this has happened a couple of times) and I had bought a couple dresses besides that so I told my Dad " I don't wanna buy it" but he went like"buy it " (x3). I seriously was feeling guilty and was ruminating on the same and some other things like putting up a vid on Lolita dress then I thought I'd combine the two and make one Denim Lolita dress. I had no experience of sewing before, I would definitely have to start with something really minor and you can see there ain't much sewing here except for the hem and the frills. I don't know if my Lolita playlist might match those of other Lolitas who would probably like songs softer, soothing to the ears, though I don't know why it should conform to some standards, cause each Lolita is supposed to be unique in her own way , like even if you're a Gothic Lolita doesn't mean you can't like Emo stuff (the way I do :P ) so probably that makes her an GothEmoLoli......

The basics of sewing with a treadle such as winding the bobbin, fixing a jam and the basics of Lolita subculture is also discussed in this video.It also features my voice like that's a first for me. So that sums up Sew Tales 2.
