A few years back I was in a relationship that ended with a car crash. The last view I had of my love was as she was lying in a much too large coffin looking like a dim mockery of her former self. The funeral home had tried to "fix" the damage caused by the crash... I was NOT impressed with their work.
Anyway, this song I wrote was in tribute to her. I always sing it in as close to a Type O Negative style as I can manage. The sepulcher deep voice of Peter Steele seemed to fit.
First Verse and refrain:
She walks in shadows like a moonlit dream
A woman in love with her life
Happy in the roles in which she's cast herself:
Friend, Lover, Mother, Daughter, Wife
But Life is too short
And Death comes too soon
One minute can end our Forevermore.
Our Love is much stronger than the touch of Death
It's Love from the Other Side.
refrain:
Love from the Other Side
Love from the Other Side
Our Love is much stronger than the touch of Death
It's Love from the Other Side.
