Evidently, contemporary pop culture considers vampires sexy. Between the Twilight Saga and Vampire Diaries, lovesick tweens everywhere are drooling all over themselves to be bitten or stared at by some undead creeper while they sleep. As a psi-vamp who feeds primarily on the energy exchanged with sexual partners, I was initially excited about the resurgence of the sexual mystique of vampires, assuming it might help me up my game.
Ironically, however, coming out of the coffin has significantly hindered me in these pursuits. Before I started informing all potential lovers of my vampirism, it was usually 0 to 69 in 0.5 dates. Now about half of them decide I'm crazy or creepy and, while they usually still want to have sex with me, I don't find idiots attractive.
I guess pop culture does find us sexy, it's just not sure yet if it should take us seriously. One step at a time I guess.

That's why I say "succubus" (pronounced suck you bus...not SLUT)... it confuses the hell out of them and they think I'm joking :)
