I'm trying to get to be a level 20, so I can start with Covens and Houses,

but I need to..

Get there first, right? :P

For one,stop worring about leveling up.You'll only get frustrated.I did what I wanted to..talked with peeps and rated a few profiles.I have not added one friend for any other reason that I talk to them or had at least one thing in common.

Dont fret! Relax and simply enjoy yourself.

Don't be in too much of a hurry to level up. Take your time, check out all the covens and Houses to see which one you'd like most to join. You will get lots of messages asking you to join various groups. It's very important to find a "fit" or else you might get force inducted into a place that is not your cup of tea. Other than that just rate what you can and read everything, especially the VR manual! Good luck.
