Ugh...I just spend four days with my parents in Florida......
OK, for those of you who don't know, my folks moved to Florida last September. I saw them last Xmas, but their new house wasn't finished.
It's been seven months since then, so they've been bugging to come down and see the new place.
By some miracle....I got some time off from work, and decided to go down...... so they would shut the hell up! I don't get along with my folks. Never did..... but sometimes the best thing to do to get some peace, is to just play nice.
But on Monday, as I was getting ready, I started to come down with what I thought was a head-cold. Later on......that head-cold turned into a fever.
I was tempted to stay home, and just be sick, but I toughed it out and headed the Airport. Once there, I got thru the security check point and got on my flight and headed to Tampa.
During the flight, my fever started to take it's toll on me. It's a good thing I was stuck in the last row next to the bathroom, because I was in and out of it most of the flight.
Once I landed, I found my folks, and we drove to their house. I told them I wasn't feeling well, and I had a fever. Mom felt my head and agreed. She got a thermometer and put in my mouth, and once it was done, she ripped out..... OW!
103 degrees! I felt terrible........so I went to bed early and decided to see a Doctor the next morning......
I couldn't sleep at all...Nightmares, Chills, Sweats, and Body Aches kept me up and miserable. One nightmare gave the impression that this ailment was not an accident and supernatural forces were aligning against me...but I'm sure it was a dillusion.
Next morning......I went to the Doc and went thru the check up.....got three X-Rays......and had three nurses give their sympathies over my ailment and compliment my tattoo work...... evidently I was the first guy under 60 they had seen in a while. :)
Finally the Doc told me what I had....Pneumonia! Just my luck, whenever I go on a vacation...I get sick.....majorly sick. UGH!
I got my meds, and the doctor's orders, and went back home to recover. And for my entire vacation, I did as little as possible....
The only good thing about being sick was, my folks eased up on me, so we didn't fight......of course it's VERY difficult to pick a fight with contagious person.
I just got home.....still fighting my Pneumonia, and dealing with an apartment that has been empty for four days, during a heat-wave, with the AC turned off.......
Oh well........if it wasn't for bad luck....I wouldn't have any luck at all!
}B-)~
Just got back from NYC......
I like to take an annual day trip to New York City and walk around, visit the Museum of History, Madame Tussaud's Wax Musuem, and Torture the TRL idiots at Time Square........ If you were lucky you saw my one-digit salute today. LOL
The History Museum had new Dino exhibits and a machine that showed how A T-rex might have ran. I hopefully got some great pics of some of the exhibits that caught my attention......basically anything invovling a skull, skeleton, or a burial site. :)
The Wax museum was cool..... If you don't know Madame Tussaud was a woman who during the French civil war, created wax death masks of the people who died on the Guillitine. Afterwards, she opened a musuem of extremely detailed and accurate wax figures of famous people of the times, like Neapoleon and his wife. The Wax continues to this day.....and has many famous people immortalized in wax. I saw Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, Paris Hilton, and dozens of other famous people.....
I was sorta bummed out.....Instead of a very cool exhibit on the gory side of the French Revolution.....they were doing a "House of Wax" horror walk thru......it was sorta weak....... One actor did actually get me to jump though.......He was in a dark room, and was perfect still until I walked by........ then he slowy raised his knife. I applauded him, He thanked me.
Well, now I am home and tired...... I will try to have the pics available in a few days. Later all.
MSN groups suck!!!!!
