too old to give up,
too young to look back,
Walking forward,
Trying not to react...
To the trials ahead,
Road dirty, covered in red,
Still you walk along,
Trying desperately to stay strong
I crawl forward,
You grab hold; pull me back,
I strive to be better,
You do all you can to keep me in the black,
In the darkness,
To keep me the same as you,
Drenched in sin,
Giving nothing,
In return,
Only a bystander,
To watch others slowly burn

You write really well. Most writers struggle with the meter of poetry.
Holding my chest,
as its stirs endlessly without rest,
hopelessly trying to digest...
My sins,
my regrets,
Every action i ever took,
Every thought I ever had,
Made me think I was mistaken,
Made me think I had mistook,
The people that made me mad,
those who never taught me good from bad
Laying in my bed,
While thoughts rampage through my head.
My sins should plague me, but instead,
They swirl in my mind,
Guilt they tear and grind,
And life is left...oddly, calmly,... sublime.
