I sit and look out my window, watching, wondering what the world has come too. I see we fight over religion. Whenever or not to build A mosque at Ground Zero. Which country has the most terrorist. Whatever or not our President is “Christian” or “Muslim”. It doesn’t make sense to me. Society seems to argue over the dumbest things that do not matter. America seems to be falling in its own self-destruction. At times, I can’t help but laugh though. How foolish and naïve the world seems to be. And how we lost touch in the values that we always wanted. War seems to be the new peace. We can’t settle a disagreement without bringing in the military with guns. But, I still sit at my window, watching and wondering what the world has come to be? This little country we called America..seems to be nothing…because it isn't worth fighting for anymore

One of the biggest and longest running war on this planet has been between Muslim and Christian. All in the name of the God each feel is the right God.And I am not sure if you have ever been out of the country, but I have..all over the world. Many times. And believe me,despite all the bs that is going on here,we still have it made and it is still very much worth fighting for.If you can,go visit the middle East or the old Eastern block.Only then might you know that I speak the truth. And perhaps only then will you truely appreciate America.

your entry reminds me of this poem about a statue
liberty
she sings a lulliby
as gentle waves
caress her shoreline
and moonlight dances
with the blood
and treasure
of a failed nation
she lets the sound
of the waves
now toxic
with the urine of man
provide the rythem
for a song
that only she can hear
she knows
the end is near
and soon
she will crumble
as did
the towers before her
into the abiss
she sings her song
in silence
and sorrow
while red and blue rats
consume her dream
and a blinding white light
will bring with it ...
... the end

Hit the nail on the head with that last line "...because it isn't worth fighting for anymore".
Couldn't agree more.
