Around the summer of 2001 I was diagnosed with a disease called Hepatitis C. The term Hepatitis roughly translates into "of the liver" and is used in conjunction with other nomenclature o describe a variety of viruses that affect the liver. I knew absolutely nothing about the illness at the time. Information was initially hard to come by. The #1 symptom of the condition is what is called chronic fatigue. Because your liver is not working properly you are in a constant state of low energy that eventually is continuous. Because I am an honorably discharged Navy veteran, I am allowed treatment through the local Veterans Administration here in Orlando. This began around June of 2007 and will be complete in about 10 days or so. It consists of 48 weeks of a combination of oral capsules contain a medication that break down the Hep C virus and weekly injections of Interferon that destroy it inside the liver. There is a range of side effects and it is very difficult. I am truly great full to have been given this chance and really appreciate having so many wonderful people to share with. I could not have done this without you all.Lol
