I kind of love Mondays.
One of the reasons I keep facebook is because people like to make fun of something that I dearly love. In the process of getting their chuckles I get to look up a movie or drama or band.
For me it becomes worth it.
Today someone on my list posted a video clip of this scene from the 2016 Chinese film Mermaid.
I found the original trailer and discovered it is a comedy then I looked on my go to streaming site and found it.
It was so much fun to watch!
A tycoon who cares only about making money buys an island inhabited by mermaids trapped by a device he planted in the ocean to kill off the dolphins who's presence initially made the island a wildlife habitat.
The mermaids select the prettiest among them and alter her fins so she can walk on land. Her mission is to snare the tycoon and make him pay for his crime against nature.
It touches a little bit on humankind's cruelty and violence to itself and the creatures sharing this planet but mostly it is really really very funny.
