This is a Korean adaption of a Japanese Shojo Manga(also turned series Hana Kimi).
A girl discovers that her favorite athlete is quitting his sport. They are close in age and she decides to cut her hair, masquerade as a boy and go to his elite athletes school for boys.
She ends up being his roommate and while her intentions are completely pure, wanting to get him back into his sport, her female charms seep through her masculine charade.
To a Western point of view this scenario seems far fetched. This girl, no matter how flat chested she may be, is still quite obviously a girl right? After all the dramas and Kpop I have assimilated I know that some of the sexiest most masculine guys can pass for girls.
Anecdotally(my personal experience); when I was a teen it happened often that girls I did not know mistook me for a boy and wanted to date me. I had short hair, when at work I wore a snap back which framed my apparently masculine features and an apron which covered my bosom(yes I said bosom). When away from work I favored baggy shirts and oversized jackets. The girls weren't teasing either, they were genuinely shy and nervous having summoned up the courage to buy a small drink simply so they could slip me their phone numbers. It can happen.
Gender bender rom/com about a girl trying to support her family. Because she is short haired, no make up, flat chested and quite rough people often mistake her for a teen boy.
She is hired by a coffee heir who mistakes her for a boy even when she tells him that she is a girl, to pretend to be his male lover thereby getting him out of marriage meetings.
I don't know it seems to work. I am sorry it would not play for you.

Just an Ordinary Love Story
This miniseries(4 episodes)auto-recommended to me today and like the pig that I am I watched the whole thing in one sitting.
I cannot find any decent clips so I will synopsize as best I can.
A girl living under the shadow of being a murderer's daughter is having a tough enough time already. She is unwelcome and nearly friendless in the little village in which she lives as her father is sought by authorities for a 7 years old murder case.
Just as she learns that the town's department of tourism(for which she works)is letting her contract go early she is hired by a young photographer to tour the town. He is handsome and charming, she is wary and untrusting as he follows her endlessly and asks her personal questions. Even going so far as to appear in her home uninvited.
It turns out he is the brother of the murder victim. Come to the village on orders of his mother to uncover the whereabouts of his brother's killer.
This is not your ordinary "My father killed your brother and I can't be with you" series. It has what I call a "satisfying" ending.
