When Worlds Collide: Chapter 4

Alexa walked through the park, looking for a sign as to where she was. She looked up at the setting sun, and could tell it would soon be night. Sighing, she kept walking and watched couples cling to each other, dogs play, squirrels prance around, ducks swim, and even studied the flowers, admiring their charm. Picking a Lily, she tucked it behind her ear just as she use to do when she was younger, before her world turned up-side-down.

Aubrey walked down the street, watching for signs of a pure soul. Everyone he saw was obviously a villain of some sort, he could smell the sins on them. He entered Shady Grove Park, following the scent of pureness he had finally found. Becoming hungry, he began to jog casually. Finally, he saw her long blonde silky hair, bright blue eyes, perfect figure, and a simple yet somehow glowing pale green dress.

He thought for a moment as to how to approach, and finally decided to go by surprise. The Prince of Hell silently walked up behind the girl and wrapped his arms around her small waist. She froze, obviously frightened, as he took in the scent of her hair. It was so familiar to him. . .

“What do you want?” She asked, voice steady and calm despite the current situation.

“You,” Aubrey stated simply as he moved her hair so he could more easily access her neck. Gently, he nipped at the pale, radiant skin. She began to struggle, and broke free. Not knowing what else to do, she ran.

Aubrey caught her easily and pinned her to the ground. He smirked, thinking of what he could do to her body, how he could make this girl impure. But it was all turned around when she started to scream.

“Father! Help me!” She tried, hopelessly. She knew her father would not help her when she had run away. So she tried for the only person she could think of, her childhood companion, “Aubrey! Aubrey please!”

He was confused. This girl just screamed for his help and they had never even met before. He stared for a long moment before placing a kiss on her. Suddenly, she calmed down.

“Aubrey. . .” she whispered his name so quietly he had to strain to hear her. He studied her for several more moments before realizing who he had attacked. This was Alexa. God’s daughter. The princess and heir to the Kingdom of Heaven. His childhood friend. . .

“Alexa?” He inquired, voice firm, clear, and strong. She looked at him, her wet eyes boring into his own. Blinking, she smiled a little, “Aubrey!”

Before she knew what was going on, he had her on her feet again and he had moved back several steps in disbelief that he had just attacked and nearly raped and killed the girl who had comforted him so many times.

Catching her breath, she wiped her eyes. “I missed you. . .”

He shook his head. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. You’re an angel. You’re evil.”

Her eyebrow quirked and she looked at him, “If I am evil, then what are you?”

“The Prince of Hell, and your worst enemy.” He stated, forcing malice into his voice despite the hurt he felt to say such a thing to his sweet, sweet friend. He couldn’t be near her, it would only lead to trouble and more pain. If his father found out he had been even socializing with the princess, he’d be done for good. But before he knew it, she had embraced him. And before he could stop himself, he wrapped his arms around her and held her.

When Worlds Collide: Chapter 3

18:35 Feb 25 2007

Aubrey never slept anymore, it was always night in Hell. He enjoyed walking amongst the fire pits and dead yet not lifeless bodies. He struck fear in all those he looked at. And whenever he was hungry, all he had to do was walk to the mote of blood surrounding his fathers palace and his home. But his favorite pastime was torture.

He loved to harass the souls of the dark. Play mind games, beat them, rape them, and strip them of the last of their dignity. At times, his father would leave a girl in his room for him to enjoy and then dispose of by whatever means he felt necessary to be pleased. However, when he walked into his bedroom after his usual stroll through Hell, he came across an interesting sight.Sitting in the corner of his bedroom was a purely innocent soul, but there was something off about the situation. She was far too calm to be in Hell against her will.

Aubrey walked slowly over, getting a glass of wine on the way. He studied her. Short red hair, slender form, perfect bosom, full lips, big blue eyes, button nose. Beautiful as she was, he still had his suspicions. After many minutes, he spoke.

“What is your name?”

“Jessica. I was sent—“

“Did I ask for further information? No.” Aubrey watched as the girl lowered her eyes. He got closer to her. “I expect you to do as I please. Now stand up.” She complied. “Take off your clothing.” Jessica looked absolutely shocked, but Aubrey did not care. He was curious about her, and only grew more curious as she peeled off her clothes.

Aubrey backed the girl to his bed, “I hope you are prepared. You shall receive no mercy.”

He felt the blood of Jessica flow through his veins. Never had he tasted anything sweeter. He knew only one thing, he wanted more. The girl was innocent, never before touched by a man. He enjoyed the sound of her frightened heartbeat, fast and loud, almost as much as the sweet sensation of her blood as it rolled over his tongue.

He kept Jessica for his own simple pleasures, never letting her soul slip away. But finally his curiosity got the better of him as he began to ready himself to take her once again.

“Jessica, why is your pure soul in Hell?”

She looked at him, surprised by his sudden show of wonder. “I was an angel. But now I am fallen.”

Aubrey’s curiosity only grew stronger. “How?”

“I was guarding a human boy and I intervened when he was attacked by a vampire. I was bitten and I fed on the boy.” She pointed upward towards Heaven, “The Lord did not like that.”

Surprised as he was, Aubrey did not let it show. He merely shrugged and continued with his business, this time terminating her soul.

All night afterwards he watched the fiercely dark sky. After much contemplation he made up his mind and to the Human world he went.
