I've come to decide that from here on out I'm going to emphasize the word "it" because it is such a damn good word for certain things, or people as the case may be. It will be great fun to read back on all the it's I've typed and emphasized, I'll giggle every time and remember that one day, at band camp.... I mean on VR...

damn... is it getting hot in here?

An Ode to Moonie

The following are excerpts from a thread I had posted in the sandbox following a certain conversation, excluding those not included in the... whatever you want to call it.

I'm going to sit back and hope an admin sees this thread. I have a question that I have failed to find an answer to. I don't want to message anyone, because its not working properly and the admins are probably getting a lot of BS, so here it is.

I had a lot of saved messages that are now gone due to our little problem... when everything is said and done, will I have those messages back in my inbox, or will I never see them again?

If you looked through the forum, you would find at least one here. (She had set in a link to a thread in the main forum)

by the way....

you actually have to read through the whole thread to find the information, which you should be doing anyway.

Ahem, that attitude was not needed.

I read the threads, they are about favor, only one or two people mentioned anything about their messages and nothing was cleared up about it. This is about missing messages, not missing contests

Apparently it was needed because if you had read the whole thing you would have seen:

"Cancer is working on the site. It's happened before. Messages should come back after he's finished. " - Weffie

Is that clear enough for you?

Actually, no, not really. I'm really not trying to cock an attitude with you, please don't treat me as though I am incompetent...

I'm not whining about not being able to send messages properly, I understand he is working on the site. All I'm saying is that it is unclear as to whether the messages one has had saved, or one has yet to receive, will in fact come back in time. What she said absolutely makes sense to me about sending messages, I'm just wondering about messages had.

Further along in that thread:

"Cancer is working on the site right now and as several have said when he is done some if not all the messages that were there have been known to return after the work is done." - Cobalt

Rudeness is not needed and it was not called for.

If I hear anything I will let you know.

Holy Christ

I just tripped for the first time. And of course I had to choose something intense, after 4 shots of Sailor Jerry's. Salvia. Perfectly legal, bought over the counter. But good fucking lord, that was a trip. I had this warm sensation, and everything turned to dark. Like this canapy of black nothingness just enveloped everyone, except their heads. All I could see were peoples heads. And my friend turned on the light, and then everyone was there in one piece but there was this fuzzy rainbow type stuff around them. Like when you hit a channel and all you get is fuzz, but theres some color in there. Now, Salvia only works for 2 minutes, but that was a seriously intense 2 minutes of my life. All I can say is I am NEVER doing that again. It is officially stricken from my list of things I need to do before I leave, and I don't need to ever do it again. It was an amazing sensation, but geez, it scared me.

This is why I hate my message center. HATE it. Simply because I get at least 5 of these bull shit messages a day. I'm going to put a picture of qausi moto up if it keeps happening.

Rat Bastard

05:20 Aug 13 2007
Times Read: 718

So this has been one horrible week. I crashed my friends car, almost completely naked at that. We were playing pididdle (the game with the headlights) and lost control of the car, went spinning into a guard rail. Loads of fun. I've got whiplash for the second time since December. My "rat bastard" father can't control his temper. I got my "dot" about three days ago, and unfortunately I suffer from PMDD which is a very intense form of PMS. I get these crazy mood swings, and when I wake up I am one angry motherfucker until I take my female happy pill (Premysum or something like that). ANYWHO... I woke up mad Saturday morning, like I do, and walked downstairs. Of course the asshole had to start with me knowing full well I hadn't had coffee OR a cigarette, and I nicely asked him not to speak to me until I had had at least one of those things. Then, all of the sudden, he erupted in a yell. "Talk to me like that and Ill knock your teeth out!" Now he doesn't scare me, at all, and he knows it. So I swung around and dared him to. The next thing I knew, he came at me full speed, grabbed me in a death grip, and started shaking me violently until I went limp, and then he pushed me down onto back already hurt back. He kept screaming "what are you going to do about it?!" and all I wanted to do was grab a phone and call the cops. Thats all I wanted. But my mother left me alone with him directly after she watched him do this, and I couldn't stay there to wait for a beating. I wasn't about to let him really hurt me if no one was going to be there to stop him from really losing his temper and seriously injuring me further than I already was. This whole thing sucks, all of it. I just don't know what to do about anything. I just can't wait to leave...

Final Decision

17:33 Aug 07 2007
Times Read: 719

A final decision on my destination has been made. I am going to Tullamore in Central Ireland. I'm getting 90 euros a week (124.15 USD) to watch one 10 year old boy, Stewart, who is very active and loves sports. It'll be a 5 day per/week job, often including friday nights. On Sundays, they have a family thing that I should include myself in as I would be part of their family once I am there. Light cooking is involved... hopefully nothing too hard because I suck at cooking. Theres no real housekeeping, but I would be expected to clean up after myself and Stewart. I may be having to learn Gaelic, and definitely will have to teach myself the metric system again (which sucks). Denise (the mother) is getting me a car, and will be trying to get me a membership to a local gym and sports center.

Can we say "weeeeee!"

Snake Eyes

21:08 Aug 06 2007
Times Read: 722

I really think that my grandmother is going to croak when I get to Ireland. She's constantly trying to dissuade me, and the woman just keeps going in and out of the hospital. I mean, she takes one step forward and gets pushed two steps behind again. Take a look at this list of health events in no particular order.

1. Brain aneurysm. Surgically removed.

2. Aphasia. Still bad.

3. Gout. Randomly sneaks up on her.

4. Dialysis. 3 days a week.

5. Breast cancer. Lost her boob years ago.

6. Fluids building in her chest. They keep draining it, it keeps coming back.

7. We just found out about another aneurysm in her heart.

8. Stroke

I'm sure I'm forgetting things too. If I were her, I would have killed myself by now. She's a mess, and I love her, but I just want to kill her myself because she's causing so much turbulence in my life (yes, on purpose as well). Even as I'm typing this I'm getting angier and angier. Perhaps I should stop.

Shock and Awe

15:24 Aug 02 2007
Times Read: 727

I've been hired!!! But not by the either of the families above.

The family who is hiring me is a family of 6, four children ranging in ages 7 to 14, and of course the parents. They live in Cork City, southern Ireland. They seem very nice, I've been corresponding with the mother, and we have a lot of the same interests. :) I have to get my passport via the expedited service (which will take 2-3 weeks) and then I'm off! Once I get there, I have to find the Department of Justice and apply to stay longer than 90 days with documentation that I will have sufficient funds, etc.

Which one?!

06:08 Aug 01 2007
Times Read: 735

I'm very excited to tell you all, in case you didn't notice the excitement by way of yellow, that I have finally decided what to do with my life. I'm going to try out being an au pair (for example, my idol, Mary Poppins). I currently have two offers.

The first is in Tullamore, Ireland with a divorced and separated woman and her 10 year old son. This seems to be the option I would take, because it seems homier. She said she'd even let me bring my cat. While I get to live for free in their house and can tour Europe on my weekends, the pay is $100 a week.

The second is in Lagos, Nigeria. Major culture shock, but sometimes scary things are really good things. The family is very wealthy, so wealthy it's frightening. The father, Kenneth Whitaker, is involved in the oil business. His wife, Lucy, is a biology teacher at the British International School in Nigeria. They have two children, a 14 month old son and a 3 year old girl. I would have a suite, be able to bring my precious cat (Shitster), a $50 weekly allowance, and would receive $3500 a month.

Now if I could just figure out which I want to take...
