Slender beams of sunlight enter
this darkened place where I kneel,
As i wait on bended knee,
head faced down in prayer.
always in hope of your forgivness,
always in pain from this my affliction,
frozen here in this place I'm waiting,
Haloed forms wrought in panes of glass loom as
dust dances in the air,
Those somber faces gazing onward,
Thier eyes a constant reminder,
of what i'll never have.
The eyes of these saints cold and unyeilding,
Peering into the soul,
sparing not my naked flesh.
I raise my head,
The tears that fall burn upon the stone,
I open my eyes to the altar,
Upon the face of my father's god,
now crying out forthis uncaring Heaven.
And this unforgiving god.
