I am quickly feeling like my mood is dipping further south and that my online activities are not providing much help or solace...I find myself rather aimlessly wandering through the 'tubes' that make up the internets but without any real purpose and that can get depressing when your looking at your keyboard to type in an url and you can't think of one...it would seem that the best answer would be to simply get back to work...as opposed to spending the next 5 minutes starting at an empty browser and trying to think of where to go.

But I may need to step away for a regroup...with myself...which isn't really a group but a break nonetheless. You know what I mean.

I'm reading a fascinating book called Fingerprints of the Gods. Lot's of great and interesting material here for the forum at some point. The basic principle of the book is that certain maps and locations of ancient ruins point to an advanced civilization that lived during and prior to the last ice age. That would be about 15,000 to 17,000 years ago. Bit older than the 'original' civilization of the fertile cresent that appeared to have started in what 4000 bc?



Anyway the idea is that there are maps from 1400's and earlier that accurately show Antartica without the ice...and we only learned they were accurate after a seismic survey in the mid 20th century. That means that somehow, these early mapmakers had access to other maps that were handed down again and again going back to a time when it could have been surveyed without ice (15000 BC I believe)...To have a civilization that was more advanced than that of the mapmakers using their sources...a civilzation that understood spherical triginometry and projection map making 17000 years ago kind of throws everything we know up in the air.

Sorry if I've been a shit to anyone of late...my social skills have all but taken a complete powder in the last couple weeks. Just don't have the ability to be my usual fun loving and talkative self.



I believe that getting in touch with one's depressive or manic side is a necessary evil and perhaps a bit more necessary with me that others. Sufficed to say I always recover and get back to being the fool and the romantic but one must be what one must be and for the moment, I will be the color grey.

I'm thinking lack of sleep has some pretty severe disadvantages. I've been walking around in a daze for about 2...3 days now. First day had a pain in my chest that was buggin me something fierce. Next day I felt like I was on Nyquil and the next day just slightly better than that.



Even went and saw me doctor or a reasonable facsimile (since mine was on vacation).

"No heart trouble"



check! That's good.



"No worries lungs or blood pressure"



...check! Also good.

"Here's some medication for your cholestoral"



...check! wait WTF? Ok ok preventive and all that right?



"We may want to check your blood sugar levels and make sure your not diabetic"



...check! Hold the phone...?



"Any history of stroke in your family?"



God damn it I didn't come here for this!



"Well you should avoid stress for a bit."



They always tell you to lower your stress right after they go freaking you out with talk of strokes. Bastards.



All in all I'm a pretty healthy guy but we still don't know why I'm as loopy as an I don't know what right now. What was the conclusive results there? "well lets just watch things for a bit and see what happens" fucking doctors.
