I enjoy seeing, hearing and reading about new technologies and what they accomplish. For Example, Keppler 22b, the Earth-like planet that is six hundred light-years away and is 2 and 1/2 to 3 times the size of earth. It is well over 22 million years away with current technology. However, there is a theoretical engine called a Bussard Ramjet which, under the right circumstances, can accelerate at 10m/s^2. It could reach 77% the speed of light in one year at that rate. A friend of mine told me that at that speed it would take 780 year to reach Keppler 22b. Sometimes technology can be fascinating.
