It started with a need waking at 0600 I went to the back yard to water the grass. Breathed in the energy I needed. Exhaled the negativity I didn't need. The negativity weighed me down going now where used up energy, My food, My sustenance just a taste to carry me through to traveling to the ocean and taking in life force. The universe conspired and put challenges in my path, I practiced patience and because I made a promise to go. I told my wife lets go. She wanted to go but didn't because of to many people lingering about.

Up we drove on the autobahn 15 min to the road over the mountain 12:30 and a long line of BMW, Audi, alpha romeos, coopers dumb trucks. We seem to get caught behind the driver that is talking talking and not paying attention to traffic flow. Slowly up the mountain and slowly down the mountain. Long line of brake lights behind a dump truck that can not handle the grade. The smell of the brake pads is intoxicating.

Out on the coastal road. All parking areas closed off; no access to the beaches. Somebody is not very smart. The air is electric with energy and glimpses of the ocean make me happy. We stop at an old stage coach inn. A traveler is asking for food. The inn is closed He has walked from the Mojave desert over the Sierras. Was with people but left them to continue back to the state of Washington. He will be walking north. Last I saw of him. Sitting on a window sill drinking water. Trying to muster the physical energy to walk.

We climbed back in the truck and continued home. We needed to get out of the city and away from the crazies.. They bring it on themselves. I drove past the store I sometimes do things for. It was shut up tight with paper signs on the doors. The name is TOKENS. Good place if you ever have a chance to stop by. The owner helps the community but doesn't ask questions. Doesn't have to wink wink nod nod. On the way We rolled down the windows when no one was around and breath in the energy. We will be back I told my wife. She had gotten the things she needed to off her chest. She gave me her Cheshire grin and nodded

So many adventures during this covid19 containment.Especially at the grocery store. Do this don't do this. Social distancing masks grrrr. Then there are the crazy ones that have lost their minds, who run by you giggling and laughing like a loon. Then there are the aile police enforcing the oneway traffic flow. Then there are the cashier's brave souls being cheery. There is no normal. I laugh and cross my eyes every time I hear that one..i am counting my blessing. Maybe I will be able to say I survived the great pandemic of 2019- 2020. But for some reason it will be forgotten like previous pandemics. That is what humans do. Not the unknown kindred. We remember.

Standing on the Edge
Wind blowing
Pushing me back
From this edge 3000 feet down
Storm winds blowing in from the sea
Darkness my blanket
Look up to see Orion's Belt
see the blue light in the waves.
Great Wolf spirit is everywhere
Chooses not to be seen.

Unintended Consequence

Unintended Consequence
Fire rages in my heart
Granite face
Opening a door
Knocking down the wall
Blood spill from the cup on the floor

Infinity furnace consumes all
In a nuclear burn....

I woke up and remembered
This is not the reality I remembered
Far from it...

Where are my fangs
Where are my sword and shield
Where are my friends
Where is all the mayhem and blood...

It just to a blind second
Blink of the eye
I'm looking at empty coffee cups
books of world domination

Not much to get excited about
Seeking for that one nuclear flame
May go into deep earth
To the center of the sun
To the cool surface of the moon
Stay away from brother Mars
Be with sister Venus
Which one is closer...

Wish You Were Here.

Banged up and bruised. I feel the meat grinder of bruised muscles and strained tendons. They let me know I am alive. My friend run cold and hot, like the moon and sun, back and forth, constantly seeker like a lighthouse. I am the invisible one standing in front of her not ever seen watching the back and forth of her light. I wonder if this gives her life energy. She is the heart, soul and emotion in this world. Brave and here right now.

Banged up and bruised. My brain took a big hard nok. I see through the smoke with foggy eyes. I can not get things to work right. May they aren't supposed to in this lifetime. If I reach out will you take me in your quiet embrace? How did we get here? Where are we going? So many questions left unanswered.

I hear a soft cry down the hall, a soft sobbing. Yet no one is there but it is the sound of desperate loneliness from this direction. Not really all there yet, just wandering around inside my mind getting it down on paper. I can look at it up close and far away.

You are standing on the bluff. Ocean wind in your hair, smiling at the waves rushing and crashing over the rocks and sand. Remnants of ancient forests lie about on the beach. Why aren't they harvested. We share each others energy. You know and I know. Nothing needs to be said. Let's get some of that Cowboy Mikes mushroom pizza and laugh.
