Well, I'm heading off to bed now and as I'll be leaving at 5am tomorrow I won't be on again before then. I don't know how long it will be until I'm able to log on again - depends on me being able to find a computer I can use. Worst case scenario, I'll be on in late August, early September. But hopefully way before that!
At this stage I'll be in New Orleans for a few weeks, then travelling up to Savannah for a few more weeks, then going to Washington DC (where I'll meet the lovely DarkCthulhu, yay!), then out to Pennsylvania to stay with a friend for a month or so, in which time I'll be flipping around to New York, Boston, Salem, those kinds of places. Depending on how the money holds out I'm then hoping to go down to either Phoenix (to meet another friend) or to San Francisco before I head back to Los Angeles for a few days before I fly out. I leave on the 30th October. I miss Halloween =(

In other news, I got my final payment from work the other day which was lower than what I was expecting - less than $2000 for 2 weeks normal pay, plus 2 months higher duties, plus 3 weeks rec leave paid out, plus 4 1/2 years of long service leave paid out. Yeah. Doesn't quite work out. And I was counting on that money. So I've requested that be checked up. My old boss is sending me the paperwork, which of course won't arrive until well after I leave. Grrrr.

Well, I'm fairly sure I'm all bought up for the trip. Still haven't packed fully though. Lol. I'm in the process of plastic bagging stuff with liquid contents in case it all bursts in the plane. Yes, I'm anal. I'm well aware of that.
I got my pedicure done today and my toesies look very cute =) I also got mobbed by no less than 3 bunches of people trying to sell me skin products in the shopping centre... I'm well aware of the fact that my skin is far from perfect but I didn't think it was that bad!!!
Yesterday morning my Coven did me a lovely bon voyage party, twas heaps of fun =) Thank you guys! *hugs*
I head off tomorrow morning leaving here at approximately 5am so I doubt I'll be on the computer once I finish up this afternoon. After that I won't be on very much at all I don't think. I get back on the 31st October so all will be back to normal after then =)

Someone is burning something, somewhere, and the smoke, while not visible, is definitely present. The air stinks of it and my eyes are burning and watering.
In other news I appear to have fucked up my costume for the masquerade ball at the meetup. *sigh* It's an omen, I tell you. I might just stay in my room that night drinking copiously. I'm going to try and salvage it tomorrow. We'll see how that goes.
3 days left til I fly out. Things I have left to do:
finish doing costume up
get a pedicure
get eyebrows waxed
do all my laundry
clean house up
finish packing
Today being sunny for the first time in about a week means it's laundry day today. What fun =P Pedicure and eyebrow waxing will be done on Tuesday. In between I'll clean the house and finish with the costume.
Ok so I'm on really quickly just before heading out. Big gaming weekend this weekend. Whee!
As of today I'm officially unemployed, a little scary but very liberating! It's been years since I've been unemployed for any length of time. Like since I finished high school. Which was in 1991 =P
Need to save all monies from now on out. Next week my project at home will be (apart from packing, lol) to upgrade and modify my costume for the meetup - bought some silk dye to paint onto it to add some depth. Hopefully will look good =) Also to make my mask.
I know, I'm the master of last minute. Lol.
Getting quite nervous and whatnot now. I'm more afraid of my luggage getting lost in between here and NO though... I have an overnight stopover in Seoul, then a plane change at LA and another at Salt Lake City. Which to me just means more chances of things getting lost or broken. Last time I visited my luggage went on a round the world trip without me on the way back =P

I Used To Love Her. lol I like the more off the wall songs. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed their popular songs too, but I think they had others that were just as great. :)
So was away for most of the weekend, did anyone miss me? Lol... course not =P
After the owie arm debacle Friday night I nursed it Saturday to the point where it actually felt a little better. Went over to a friend's place Saturday night then went out bowling, which was fun! Beat my own personal best even. Then went back, watched a movie, and crashed.
Today woke up late and ran a game of Vampire this afternoon. Twill be my last for here, so closed it off as well as possible. Everyone was happy, didn't kill anyone off (mind you the 2 annoying party members weren't there so that helped, hehe). So, no more Vampire for me.
Awww.
As of today it's 16 days to go til I leave. Am getting a wee bit nervous now. Given my bank balances I will have to get another job pretty much straight away when I get back here, which I didn't really want to do, but unless I win the lottery or marry a millionaire in the meantime, is what I have to do.

Feeling a bit owie. Just had an Implanon put in (if you don't know what it is, google it) and my arm's aching... Also I'm a bleeder, lol... I gushed everywhere =P Took the doctor quite aback! Hehe.
Now just waiting for the local to wear off and my arm to realise there's a foreign object in there...
Oh and, also feeling a bit queasy from the local... ugh...
Reading people's journals in here makes me want to go in and give people basic grammar and spelling lessons. With a stick. A big stick. A big pointy stick.
Yet another reason why I try to avoid the main forums if at all possible. Bad grammar and spelling makes me all stabbity. STABBITY I SAY! That and idiocy in general offends me.
Ah well. Lucky I don't need to do that levelling crap any more...
...granted it's an in joke... but I have to do it!!!!!
So now I'm set from the 31st July to the 12th August in NO, 13th August to 30th August in Savannah, 31st August to 5th September in Washington DC, 5th September to whenever in Pennsylvania... Looking good!
Very excited - I have a sublet in Savannah from the 13th to the 30th August! Huzzah! This will save me about $1500 for those 3 weeks. Now I just have to figure out what I'm doing from the 30th to the 5th... Hmm.
Three more days!!! You can do that standing on your head girl! Like the guy said in Waterboy "You can do it, you can do it all night long"...heh. Well, ok, maybe that is a bit much ~tickles~
