grrrrr am having issues with wishy washy BS. I have had enough.
My heart, thoughts an prayers go out to the families and the victims of the bombs going off at the finish line of the Boston Marathon.
cinnamon brown sugar oatmeal. so good and so filling and will carry me almost all day.
down deep in me there thrives a little girl who still enjoys simple things. On tv tonight is Despicable me and I am really excited about it. For some reason I really love that movie. The little girl with the unicorn is my favorite. Oh and who could forget the minions they are effing awesome. Yes I think parts of me are crazy and insane but thats life.
I enjoy other movies but have a hard time sitting through them.
Tombstone (one of my all time favs)
Bram Stokers Dracula
There are way to many to list but I am leaning towards Dispicable me being my third favorite movie.
I made bourbon braised chicken and rice with a sauce made from the braising liquid. Damn was it good.
Today is the first day in a week that I haven't coughed my head off. So far laundry is getting done, dinner is almost done and I am getting ready to get up and clean my room and bathroom. Kids rooms are cleaned and house is coming together. I feel slightly accomplished today.
Dinner tonight is bourbon braised chicken and rice with brown gravy.
I feel tired but content.
Reece's Peanut Butter Cup Fudge
Ingredients:1 12 oz bag milk chocolate chips1 10 oz bag peanut butter chips2 cans sweetened condensed milk6 Tablespoons butter(divided)Reece's Peanut Butter Cups (20-30 pieces)
Directions: 1st layer: Combine milk chocolate chips, 1 can sweetened condensed milk and 4 T butter in a double boiler or metal bowl over simmering water, stir until melted and smooth. Line a greased 8 x 11.5 inch baking dish with plastic wrap. Pour fudge into baking dish. Cool until room temp, place in the refrigerator while you make make the peanut butter fudge.
2nd layer: Combine peanut butter chips, 1 can sweetened condensed milk and 2 T butter in a double boiler or metal bowl over simmering water, stir until melted and smooth. Pour onto the milk chocolate fudge layer and press Reece's Peanut Butter Cups into the fudge. I left a small space between them for a 'cutting line'. Let cool until room temperature. Refrigerate overnight or until set. Remove from refrigerator and cut into squares(1 peanut butter cup per square) and serve. Keep refrigerated or they will get too soft. The milk chocolate doesn't set up as solid as semi-sweet chocolate.
