While the Vampyre / vampire community recognizes the individual value of one’s personal interpretation of Vampyrism / vampirism, We do not condone the public and or private consumption of blood. Even responsible and adult couples can transfer blood borne and sexually transmitted diseases. Every effort is made to educate ourselves and others on alternative forms of safe and effective feeding practices that do not involve the consumption of blood, like Tantra, Reiki and Energy transference. Blood fetishists do not represent the attitudes or beliefs held by the Vampyre / vampire community.



Blood consumption is an illegal practice in some countries and of course regarded as taboo in modern cultures. Ideally, blood should only be drawn by licensed health care professionals. Those who use medical or surgical implements in the act of blood letting without proper training as to their use potentially place their, "donor," in Danger of nerve damage, scarring, or other serious injury. Health risks associated with blood consumption include the possible contraction and transmission of blood borne diseases such as Hepatitis B and C, Syphilis, and HIV, and possibly other ailements not listed here.



Body modifications, suspension, tattooing, piercing scarification and other similar forms of ritualistic and sadomasochism practices do not usually involve the consumption of human blood. When these acts are performed it is urged that all participatory individuals adhere to strict guidelines of standard medical practices and other safety procedures to protect all involved parties.
