A chip on her shoulder

A band-aid over her heart

Tears on her sleeve

and she's still torn apart

A bruise on her face

Her laughter disguised

One call from Mom missed

and something she failed to realize

That she cries sometimes when she thinks back to that year

That she can't believe she still here

She wants to purchase a gun

She wants to find her friend

She wants to go out to the edge of the earth

She wants to put something to an end

Somebody saw her just after midnight

Sombody said she wore blue

Sombody couldn't remember

Where said she was going off to

A blood stain on her neck

A few scratches on her back

A reminder of what she's into

A quick snap back into attack

She wants to breathe in more than hate

She wants to knock sombody to the ground

She wants to do these things before it's too late

She wants to do the hurting this time around

A laugh in the middle of the night

A scar that never seems to fade

A feeling very close to drowning

A role that seems to be tailor made

Somebody said she looked like she was happy

Somebody said she got in sometime after dawn

Somebody said it was impossible

She was already gone...
