The mighty lord of the skies

Seeker of the wise





See the funny cubs

Aren't they having so much fun

Please don't hurt yourselves





See the little skunk

Who is so very hungry

Searching for supper





See the timid deer

Gathering 'round for a drink

Of cool, fresh water





The tall trees standing

Alone against the blue sky

Reaching for the clouds





Small swift roadrunner

Looking for a small lizard

Aha! He found one



The poor, wet cougar

Caught in the pouring rain

Searching for a cave





Hear the thunder boom

Lightning streaks across the skies

Lighting up the canyon





Look who is coming

It is the gila monster

Brightly painted red





Bright colored flowers

Dotting the Grand Canyon's floors

Telling spring is here





The mighty rain god

Giving rain to the canyon

Replenishing life





The tall canyon walls

So very ancient to all

Rise skyward to see
