The person they were is dead gone. But with the poisonous slug the change is gradual. Some people become accustomed to the change in your eyes.”He is different” they say .Of course he is his mind has been shocked by mental poison. The person that was there is gone .Know one pays attention to the signs .Sure they get talked about but he will be ok..why not?

This will be quick he thought ,sounds like he is on the phone with the club owner .Plus he is wearing an ear bud nothing in the way.”Trying to get paid are we? Not tonight the owner gets a free show”. The wire was quick, almost like butter .Its done he thought the satisfaction of the deed washed over him like a hot shower.



The NOPD have had it rough the past 6 years with the hurricane ,the clean up and the looting afterwards .Keeping order has always been hard at Mardi Gras a lot of chaos every year a few deaths .but this was different ,normally its beatings alcohol poisoning or car accidents. This was not normal it was a beheading .Blood spread across the floor ,splattered the ceiling and the wall .But no trace of attack or struggle no feet print no finger prints they’re getting better the officer said without a doubt they are getting better .

the sound of the drums fill our ears .

as the fire warms our faces .

sparks fly from inside the fire only to be extinguished by the night air.

there is magick all around us

we walk away from the fire.

we lay on the grass and stare at the sky.

as the crickets chirp and the dogs bark in the distance

we watch for falling stars looking out through the galixie.

as we lay our hands touch sending a spark of longing through out us.the smell of your hair .

the touch of your skin . the drums ,the fire ,the crickets and the stars .
