A dream in reality

07:15 Dec 17 2005
Times Read: 544

As I stand in a field holding this beautiful girl in my arms I'm thinking "Is this reality?" While I'm thinking the girl says in the distance "follow me." I try to catch her but she vanishes into thin air, then I scream to God why me?! why me?! I realize that I'm all alone in a place I don't know of. Tears of sorrow, loneliness, and questioning start to pour out of my eyes as I say it is a dream. A dream I wish would come true so I could be happy like I was a moment ago. Just then I see something out the corner of my eye, it was the girl. I got up and started to run to her, but when I got there something happened. I heard a dreaded sound then before I knew it the girl was hanging in my arms. I asked God, " Why did you take her life? She didn't do anything wrong," then I noticed something, she wasn't hurt I was. As she awoke she said, "You're hurt," I said, "I know, but you're fine." All at once everything went pitch-black. The last thing I remember saying "It wasn't a dream yet it was reality, but I love you no matter what happens I'll always love you," that was all I remembered.

Eternal Love

Eternal Love

In a cemetery far, far away, a man stands over a desolate lonely grave mourning for the one he lost. The love of his life that he knows could never be replaced. She died in a tragic accident, but he vowed his love to her, and that vow was to love her eternally forevermore and he has kept that vow for over 300 years now, because you see in that man’s eyes you can see that he isn’t like anyone else nor was his love. They were the ones that live on until someone kills them intentionally, but no one had any reason to harm or kill them as far as that goes, because they mostly kept to themselves but once they did run in to someone they were always nice, kind people and no one really paid much mind to how they never appeared to age. The man stopped thinking for a moment and looked down at the grave and rubbed his fingers across her name. At that, tears started to run down his cheeks, but these were no ordinary tears you see, because when their kind cried, the tears were of blood instead of water. He didn’t bother to wipe them away, instead he reached into his coat and pulled out three black roses and placed two in the shape of an X and pushed the stem of the third rose into the soil above the X formation. Rain came suddenly but the man didn’t bother to leave, instead he lay beside his wife and closed his eyes, because in his mind they were still together, laughing, dancing, and holding hands. In unison they always said the same thing over and over again, those words rang out loudly and echoed through the woods on the ridge, the words, “I’ll go on loving you forevermore,” and there carved on her headstone were those same exact words. Though those words meant so much to the both of them, they also carried a burden for him, because she was gone and he lived on, eternally missing her. He longed for death, even asked for it, but it never came. No matter how much her begged and pleaded for someone, anyone to do it, but everyone turned away from his wishes. Eventually everyone thought he had went insane, but in his mind, which was his sanctum, because it was the one place that he could go for peace and happiness. The rain eased for a moment and the man clutched the necklace around his neck and pulled something else out of his coat, it was a knife. He clutched the necklace tighter in his grasp and as he closed his eyes he saw his wife holding out her arms welcoming him to come back to her, though they were always together. At this gesture he plunged the knife deep into his heart, and felt relief instead of pain because now he was where he belonged, in the arms of his beloved wife once again. This time they couldn’t be parted and softly she spoke to him, “ I’ve missed you so much.” He said back, “I miss you so much as well,” then she said in reply, “that’s why it was you, that I loved so much and gave my heart to,” and he replied, “that’s why I loved you so much, because you are my companion and even in death you still are.” Together they grabbed each other’s hand kissed a long kiss and walked off into the pitch-black abyss of a new moon.

Second of my Story

Part II

Natasha woke up later that next morning with a throbbing headache, and those horrible images from the previous night still playing over and over again in her mind. She could see them so clearly of Ashley dying right before her eyes and Corrie being toted off by that strange handsome young man. A doctor had just walked into the room and started speaking to her

“Good morning! My name is Doctor Sunshine.” She said and continued “you’ve got fifteen stitches in your head.”

“Yea, I’ve got a really bad headache as well” she replied.

“I would imagine so, it looks like you had a real bad run in with someone or something,” she said, “but I’m sure you will heal quickly.” She turned and started to walk away and flashed a smile to Natasha, her canines flashed out from under her lip and Natasha gave an uneasy smile back. She really had a bad feeling about this, Dr. Sunshine but she admired her beauty, which looked as the following: blazing red hair draped over her shoulders in delicate curls, deep gorgeous eyes of an ocean blue color, and such a beautiful figure to match, but her skin was such a pale hue. She still had an uneasy feeling about her though, but she stopped her and asked before she left the room

“Dr. Sunshine, do you know when I’ll be able to leave?” she asked questioningly. “Sure do sweetie. As soon as the hospital clears your leave you may go.” Dr. Sunshine replied kindly back and added, “I’m sure that you will be attending your friends funeral.” This hit Natasha in the face like a vicious slap, because she didn’t think anyone knew about Ashley being murdered. She asked the doctor in a raised tone as she sat straight up in the bed “ How do you about her?!?!” The doctor was shocked at such a tone and replied smoothly “Because dear, its all over the news.” Natasha quickly turned the TV on and saw that what Dr. Sunshine had said was true. “I’m sorry,” she quickly replied “I didn’t mean to say it like that.”

“Its quite alright,” Dr. Sunshine said, “I’d be upset if my friend was murdered as well.” She turned to walk out of the door and laughed to herself in a subtle manner and said to herself ‘She’s such a smart pretty girl, but asks to many questions for her own good.’ She continued to walk down the hall, heading towards the front, going to the nurse’s desk to ask if Natasha had been cleared for release yet. The nurse sitting at the desk looked up and asked, “What can I do for you Dr. Sunshine?” She replied, “ I was wishing to know if Natasha Smith had been cleared for release yet.” The nurse said, “ Yes, she has been just a few minutes ago.” Dr. Sunshine said, “ Thank you,” and turned around to head back to Natasha’s room. As she was walking down the hall she thought of things that could be dangerous if anyone were to find out what they were. When she arrived at Natasha’s door it was closed, so she knocked on the door, but no answer came. She decided it was safe to enter, considering that she was a doctor after all, so in she went. Once she was inside the room she noticed the shower was running and went over to the bathroom door and knocked, no answer came the first time so she knocked again, this time Natasha answered “Come in.” Natasha was just steeping out of the shower as she was stepping in.

They both stood there quietly to begin with, Dr. Sunshine was looking Natasha’s bare naked body over, Natasha grabbed for a towel noticing this, blushing a deep red, because she never had a beautiful woman look at her naked body before, but somehow she liked the feeling of being able to draw some attention to herself. Dr. Sunshine was the first to break the silence. “You’ve been cleared to leave the hospital as soon as you are ready.” Natasha spoke up silently, stuttering a little bit, “Thank you for coming back to tell me.” Still blushing she started to dry herself off, but before she could finish Dr. Sunshine stepped forward and kissed her neck seducingly and whispered, “ You’re boyfriend is quite lucky, you have an amazing body” then she turned and walked out of the room. Natasha thought about what Dr. Sunshine had just said as she finished drying herself off, and reached for her clean clothes. After she had finished putting her clothes on, she double-checked her room to make sure that she wasn’t leaving anything behind. She proceeded to leave her room and make her way down the crowded hallways to leave, but as she was leaving she looked for Dr. Sunshine so that she could ask her something. Even though she passed plenty of doctors and nurses on her way out she never seen a sign of her, ‘Oh well’ she thought and walked out of the door, but little did she know that she was being watched by someone on top of the roof. She flagged a cab down, after she got in she told the driver to take her to the library, and away they went. They arrived at the library a short time later and she gave the driver the fee after she had gotten out. Once she had paid the taxi sped off to look for another fare, but not far behind was that mysterious person she knew nothing of still following her closely, but not so closely as to allow themselves be seen by her. Natasha walked into the library and approached the front desk and asked where the mythology section was and the librarian pointed in the back right corner and she thanked her for her help and continued to where the librarian had pointed. In her mind she was thinking of all the mythological things that drank blood, she could only think of few like vampires, lichs, and Geists. Though she only thought of three one specific creature gnawed at her mind, vampires. She gathered all of the books she could find on them, and took them to a nearby table and sat down and started thumbing through some of them, but she came across nothing useful in the first few books she looked through, then she came across a book with a horrifying looking cover and inscribed upon the cover was the title: Vampires; their essence and glories. As she started thumbing through the book, having had her attention diverted long enough, her follower moved in closer to her to keep in sight but Natasha still knew nothing of this person or their intentions. As she continued to read she learned some things she already knew then she found some she didn’t and started reading intently instead of skimming the pages like earlier. She read that vampires and vampryes were very sophisticated, seducing, and had abilities that differ. As she continued to read, she began to get fascinated by their kind, and she learned you could never actually tell them apart from ordinary humans unless you actually paid close attention to them. This terrified yet thrilled her in some ways, but she continued to read more and more of the book and as she did she learned that it was the vampire or vampyres’ choice whether you lived or died, but then again they could make you one of their children, bestowing their dark gift to you. At the thought of being able to be like their kind, she was intrigued yet disgusted at the same time, yet she still couldn’t help but wonder what it would be like. This thought was interrupted by the librarian stating that it was time for the library to close, so she got up, leaving all the book laying there on the table except ‘Vampires: their essence and glory’. She took the book to the front desk and checked it out and continued towards the door to leave, followed closely by the unknown stranger. After she was out of the door she reopened the book to where she had left off and continued to read, as she read on she began to feel like she was being watched or followed and she quickly turned around to find nothing but the chilly breeze blowing paper around in small, delicate whirlwinds, thus finding nothing she returned her attention back to the book, which had captivated her completely. Well once she started reading again, she heard a crack of a twig and swiftly turned seeing that face that had been haunting her mind since she had awoken in the hospital, the man that killed Ashley and took Corrie. He stood there smiling at her, waiting to see if she had anything to say but she was so struck she couldn’t even scream, then he started to speak, “ Please dear, don’t scream and don’t run there is no use in it,” he paused for a moment seeing that she wasn’t about to do anything, and continued, “ My name is Raziel de la Rouge, and as you have learned I am a vampire and have been around for quite sometime keeping hidden and to myself, until the other night when you and your two friends stumbled upon me in that alley, but that is besides the point as you know I do have your friend and she is safe for now, but not for long because I intend to turn her.” This frustrated her and let loose with a barrage of words, “ You think that you can just take it upon yourself to fucking destroy someone’s life as you see fit? You are a monster, damned for taking anyway innocence. Who the fuck do you think you are?” This made Raziel angry and he lounged forward to attack her but as he did that one mysterious person that had been following Natasha, leapt out in front of her and pushed Raziel back and slashed at him with two short handled scythes. Natasha was confused at this point, who was this stranger that leapt out just now and started fending out Raziel? While she pondered these questions they broke out into a brawl, each delivering devastating blows to one another until Raziel jumped back blooding from his wounds and made a harsh statement, “ This isn’t over by a long shot, I will return and make you both pay!” and at that he fled to the roof tops. Natasha still dumbfounded by what had just occurred looked over at the stranger and said, “Thank you.” The stranger replied “ Its not a problem, its my job, but first let me formally introduce myself, I’m Ilya demetri, and I am a vampire hunter, I was cursed with their gift some time ago and I swore vengeance to the vampire that plagued my home and killed my parents and have been hunting him ever since,” Ilya paused for a moment to catch his breath and continued, “ he, Raziel de la Rouge is that vampire. I knew that he would show himself sooner or later especially with you running around.” This stunned Natasha and she asked, “What do you mean by that?” He replied with, “You see you know of his secrets and he came back to kill you or to bestow his curse upon you like he tends to do to your friend. I’ve been following you since you left the hospital because I knew what had happened I had just arrived a little late to help.” Natasha was listening intently then spoke up, “Well we should get out of this cold weather, because I am about to freeze.” Ilya agreed and they walked along the sidewalk heading towards her apartment.
