I was reading last month on this tribe that has survived hundreds of years as they are and how recently tourist have been coming into there area to give them stuff. People do not realize how bad this is because they bring in diseases. Like with my people how small pox and other disease almost wiped us out when people came here. One thing for example is boars. They are not native to America and brought on ships. One ship had 20 boars and they let them roam free... and they breed and breed... and they began to eat gardens natives had planted for food for the winter. It really gets to me when I read about current tribes like in the Amazon who now are being tainted by the out side word.
The uncontacted tribes, which are located in the jungles of South America, New Guinea and a remote and the beautiful and remote North Sentinel island in the Indian Ocean (the inhabitants of which have also responded to attempts at contact with extreme aggression) all have one thing in common - they want to be left alone.
And for good reason. The history of contact, between indigenous tribes and the outside world, has always been an unhappy one.
