I am stalking the one I admire and have cared for for many years, now i have aquired a stalker too.
Being a regular member, i am left to wonder who is stalking me----which is annoying to say the least. I know the answer is a premium membership but i am resistant to that for a number of reasons.
Also not being able to see who's friends list i am on is vexing as is the down ratiings i must have received to get a cumulative score of 9.7
again, resisting the urge to go there, in a desire to not take VR too seriously. When it becomes a job, is when i lose interest and it is no longer fun.
for now, i will just have to deal with the anxiety of not knowing, what i know i could know if i went premium. there is always a consequence to our decisions and, for now, i decide to do nothing.
I fel inspired to create today so I made (from scratch), Cinnamon Rolls and an Herb Garlic bread today.
We also grilled steaks with smoked paprika, granulated garlic, and lemon pepper seasoning, medium rare...yummm and had salad and baked potatoes for our dinner.
I am full, my twin 9 year old sons are fast asleep with full tummys, and my daughter and i remain up, surfing the web while watching Birdsong on public television.
Life is truly good for us all today.
watched it, finally, tonight and it was a very well done and touching movie. my son Robert and I both sobbed over it a little, because the boy was treated so badly as a child. It was touching to see him at age 17 getting his first bed--EVER!!! That seems like a dignity item to me, like underwear-Something every child should have. The fact that the movie was based on real people made it all that much more meaningful. I'm glad we bought it from Blockbuster at their Going Out Of Business Sale.
I'm feeling lucky that we amassed a substantial video collection when i was still working and many are still in shrink wrap. Since we had to dump the satellite service and basic cable sucks, it's good to know i have a few aces in the hole; good movies i can unwrap and watch at anytime in the future.
Speaking of which, i finally watched Bubba Hotep recently and that was one weird ass movie..also would recommend it to the right, quirky movie lover. Bubba Hotep made the vision of an aging Elvis Presley oddly weird. Ozzy Davis was also in the film, as a man who thought he was JFK.
I started on VR back in October of 2006 with the profile name crisathome, later I changed profile name to aurora borealis and then to Juno. I was a permium member of VR for several years.
I hit burnout approx two years ago and self deleted my last profile in the name of Juno.
I have given a lot of thought to the good friends i had here and that has brought me back.
I hope to avoid the drama by remaining a regular member so I won't be tempted to react to what might be considered a down rate since i cannot see them. I will not worry about who's friends list I am on because I cannot see that.
Not only did I miss my friends but I also missed the creative environment. I have enjoyed fussing over my profile, so I did a little work on that today. I must admit, I do like to manipulate my profile code.
Today, I was offered a mentor-ship from a lovely lady and a good friend: Hottubmolly. Naturally I accepted her offer.
I am still processing the newer things like Kismet, Mentor-ships, and Honor, and am sure i will come to understand more as time goes by.
My major goal here is to reconnect , have good creative fun, and just enjoy the site.
Life is too short to take all this too seriously. We need to lighten the fuck up. I use humor to cope with life so i gotta laugh or i might break down and cry....... and that's just no way to live.
