* Its not what you think.
I stood on the edge of the cliff, the dark storm clouds bringing down their wrath behind me. In front of me, across the abyss, the sun shone bright on the beautiful trees and flowers. It was the place I knew I belonged. I turned my back to the happiness, to reasses the sadness, and I knew what I had to do. I free-fell into the abyss, with all of the confidence and faith I could muster.
But what I didnt know is that I stared too long into the blackness, and I missed my chance.
I closed my eyes and fell backwards, my arms outstretched and searching for the comfort of your arms. But the comfort never came, the sweetness of your embrace never found me. And so I continued to fall, screaming, no one around to hear me.
Dying wasnt as bad as I thought. It was living that was much more painful.
