love

14:39 Mar 31 2008
Times Read: 684

I have had only a couple of great loves in my life and only one that I allowed to come to anything. I believe if you are going to do anything do it all the way no matter who agrees with you. You are the one who will have to live with the results of your actions. Let no one tell you that the person you love is not good enough. Be true to your heart and kindly tell the ones you love they are still your heart and soul but you have to do what you feel is right.

One of the worst days of my life

16:31 Mar 30 2008
Times Read: 688

The following is an entry in the Liberty County Sherrifs log online. The 15 year old they speak of is none other than MdmGodiva here and one of the two men is her father. He died that day and so did a man named Rodney Glenn Bush.

-VOLUME 17 NO.154, THURSDAY, AUG. 08, 2002-

Details were unavailable at the time of this report, but the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a possible double drowning on Hwy 105 at the Trinity River Bridge in Moss Hill. Reports indicate one 15-year-old girl was rescued from the river and transported to Cleveland Regional Medical Center, but the search continues for two men who were lost during that rescue. More information as it becomes available.

According to information from the Liberty County Sheriff’s Dept., Gerald Lewis Letien, 42, of Tarkington and his wife Connie attempted to rescue their 15-year-old daughter Leona who was struggling in the deep water near the Trinity River Bridge on Hwy 105 in Moss Hill Wednesday afternoon. Rodney Glenn Bush, 39, of Hardin entered the river to help the family. Mother and daughter made it to shore, the two men did not. Search teams recovered the body of Rodney Bush Wednesday night. The body of Gerald Letien was found early yesterday.

8/9 FUNERALS: James R. Mullican, 82, of Kenefick, Services at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton. ** Rodney Glenn Bush, 39, of Hardin, Services tomorrow at 10 a.m. at Allison Funeral Service in Liberty. **

Words

07:37 Mar 26 2008
Times Read: 700

Let me pose a question to the reader. Do we really give enough thought to the words that come out of our mouths? When we are joking, angry, confused or frustrated? Do we think about what we say to people and how what we say will affect them and then in kind affect us later?

I ask this because too often we think that words are meaningless pieces of air. We think that what we say has no real affect on others so we don't really give it much thought. How many times have you had a day that was just horrible and all you really needed to give you some hope was a kind word? How often has that need gone unfilled and your heart felt it died a bit that day for lack of acknowledgment?

You never what how much good a kind word or even just a smile will have on some one else. It is definitely is worth the effort.

Updates are good. Like I was saying. Take any given day. You are at work and a boss is having a bad day. She yells at you for no reason and ruins your day. Before it is all over, you are ticked and you want to quit your job. Now a friendship that could have been won't. If you see my point.

demons

13:33 Mar 19 2008
Times Read: 704

Many are the night I lie awake and ponder on the things I do. Most, none not even those closest to me would ever know about. Are my darkest fantasies fueled by some flaw in me or is there a demon who dreams up all these things? Where do I end and the darkness begin? Perhaps we are both one and the same. Much to learn and to understand here don't you think?
