Let me pain consume me

Let the hollow promise of love assure me

it is not over yet

Let me see the joy that dances in your heart

Let me understand I will never be a part of it

Let me see what I can do to ease3 your pain

Let me hope for what I will never have.. what I can never let myself have

Let love be yours forever, let it cause you no pain

Let me be the angel that cares for you and keeps you from the rain

Let me never tell you just what I really think.. let me give you hope that forever stains

Days go by and I think of you

I think of things false and things true

I think of all the things I have loved

All the things that cause me hope

I think of how you smile at me

I think of things that should not be

I think of what will never show

I think of love, it brings me low

I think I will never have the one thing I want the most

For me it is nothing more than a ghost.

I can walk this out and not cower from it

Just remember, I can fly now and soar above it

I need things I will never have.. I have things I will never need.. tell me why is this so?

Let me see your heart , even the untidy and messy part

Let me see your soul, even that places with gaps and holes.

Let me hold your hand as I try to understand what drives you to do what you do

Let me dry your tears as I try to understand what causes your fears.

I do not require anything to be given in return..

I do not ask that you do anything but maybe learn from me.

I do not hope for more than there should ever be..

I only wish to make it better.. to somehow make it lighter.

Because I know you make the world a better place, just being here to share it.

I know you make it easier to face, the storms, just knowing you care about it.

I know you make me smile just a bit brighter, because I know you breathe..

I saw your face today, it was pained and I had to look away

I saw your eyes today, there was rain in them so I had to look away.

I heard your heart today, I heard it beat hard and fast, so I couldn't look away.

I see the pain you go thru and I can't help but feel it too

I see the tears you shed and I can't help but shed them too

I want to see you happy, to see your soul light up again..

I want to see your heart on fire with a love that will never end.

But til that day, all I can say, is I love you more than you know.

till that day all I can do is hold your hand, hug you tightly and never look away again.

If I did one right thing today, I would be amazed

If I got one thing right today, I don't recall it.

I thought all day of things to say, but never the way to say it

I thought all day of things to do but in the end, all I could say was "screw it"

I tried so hard, to keep my heart from breaking into a million pieces.

But the harder I tried, the harder I cried, the more it all seemed so fried.

Today was not a day I would wish for but to finish this all up neat and tidy.

I guess in the end all I can really say is it was just another day that ended in a why.
