Humanity

I've found humanity to be less and less interesting. Yet more interested in us...? I guess it comes down to the draw of the unknown. But, that's humanity for you, no? Things have gotten boring again. Hell, I haven't been on in quite a while. Finally graduated, found an old friend and began re-embracing the community. I find it sad that so many of the others that I had been friends with (the few of us that I managed to befriend in my home town) decided to drift away. Haven't spoken to any of them (much less my family members) in months. But like I said, that's life.

Oh, before I go, I wanted to share something. I had been searching to see if any other vampires were near my home town and I came across a question on yahoo. said question stated something similar to this " Are any vampires real? and if so, will someone change me?"

The question its self wasn't what caught my attention. Its reappearance was nothing new. But even so, I started to scroll through the answers I found something odd. Most of those that answered said that life as a vampire was nothing spectacular and that being changed was very much a detriment to the thought of being changed. Now of course this is all relative to the possibility that those who chose to respond were actually vampires and not just a bunch of kids fucking around. Most of the few responses to the question were calm, nothing to brash or angry.

Two of them took me aback. The first talked of being alone since the author of the question sighted a suckish life as the reason for he/she wishing to be turned. Now, as to that I say that life is what you make it, It can get better, or worse, by our own hand. Secondly when one responds that any one who asks to be turned is worthy of nothing less than "being bled dry for a snack", that is taking things to far.

The person. whom ever they were, was simply looking to something they felt drawn to for an escape from problems they were having a hard time dealing with. I see no problem with that. And if these were just humans, playing a game with this person than I applaud the responders who attempted to change the authors mind rather than make him feel worse or scare him.

I dont know what scares me more, the multitude of humans acting like fools to be like us, or those of us that encourage that simply to see the bloodshed

Interesting that you speak of Vampirism as something other than a HUMAN condidtion.
