Ok I think there is one of those tree roaches in my room. You know that ones that come inside the house when it rains. They are just huge, gross and loud.
It is a hunt for blood. That bastard will die! I have obtained two weapons. A rather sizable brown leather boot for back up and a nice big can of Rid-A-Bug. I must keep my feet off of the floor. I need to hunt quickly that noise it makes is driving me crazy.
Isee the vile creature. I took after him with the boot but his was too quick. He has escaped under the bed. Perched on top of the chair my heart pounding I watch, I wait.
He tries to sneak from around the corner to dart across the room but I am waiting with aerosol death in hand. I have hit the creature where it hurts.
He scurried away wounded but not defeated. I can hear him still in the dark back corner. I approach with great caution. When they are hurt is when they are most vicious.
I spot him. With the last amount of energy left in my body I jab his writhing little, gleaming black body with one last poison spray and watch as he struggles.
Disgusted by the whole thing I sit back in my chair and listen as he takes his final breaths.
I watched at work today a woman bugging some of my fellow co-workers about the Playstation 3's release. She had her two boys with her. They had been in the store since early in the morning. It was now 7pm. The boys had missed school that day and were going to miss school the next day in order to obtain the game system. She had bought her kids a couple bags of chips and some sodas to eat for dinner. She went on and on about how she wanted to make sure her boys got what they wanted. I'm sure in her mind she was taking such good care of them by making sure they got the Playstation no matter the cost.
Ok so here is the point of this story. I have noticed a decline in good parenting in the last few generations. I do not think that people realize that children are not puppies, they are not a trophies and they are not someone you can buy off. This may appear to make the children happy at the present time. Years down the road the poor examples and useless life lessons that you showed them will hender them for the rest of thier lives.
So please do your kids a favor..... if you really love them and want whats best for them make them do the right thing. Wether they want to or not. Waiting for a game system till next year may mean teaching them something much more important for the rest of thier lives.
