1 Tablespoon bacon grease (the recipe called for olive oil but I only use butter and meat fat in my cooking)
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
2 cloves crushed garlic
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon cumin
2 cans pinto beans 15 ounce each; drained (I could use dried but I don't wanna)
1/2 cup water
heat the oil until shimmering, add onion, salt, and garlic.
Stir occasionally, cook until soft.
add spices, beans, and water then stir.
Cover and cook for a bit.
Remove lid and smash the beans.
