Today, I throw away the ring.
The ring of silver so cold,
the ring with diamonds so fake,
the ring in the shape of a flower once blooming is now dull.
The ring so unique but now missing a piece as am I.
The ring that is a never ending circle one standing for everlasting love, now filled with doubt.
The ring that reminds me of laughter and love now reminds me of anger and hate.
The ring that used to remind me of fun and family now makes me only think of lies and cheating.
The ring so full of good and bad, reminds me of ups and downs,
the ring I couldn't take off for years has been sitting in my jewelry box with a picture of our family, a picture of us.
It's the ring you gave me when you asked me to marry you...
today,
I threw it away.
