A bit cooler than the 70° reading on the thermometer seemed to indicate. Apparently the temperature was falling throughout the ride as it was 64° when I returned. It seemed like a rather long, hard ride with just a slight destructive breeze on the way out. It wasn't until I reached the half-way point that I found the wind was actually more destructive on the way back. Nothing terribly note-worthy other than my heart rates were significantly higher after being off the bike for about a week.
The worst part was after I came home and spent one of my very rare nights off, in a state of loneliness that brought me to my knees.
