It seems as we look around that these are becoming more and more rare, especially in our U.S. society. It's even more rare among people in my age bracket. But in feeling the need to set a goal, I've decided it's something I want to have.
I'm not talking about laundry devices. Having been cooped up at home, unable to get out on the bike due to some ocular issues, I've set myself to the task of working away the little band which has a tendency to appear as we reach middle-age. I'm most certainly not a mesomorph. I tend to be more lean and thin. But that doesn't prevent age and nature from allowing us to carry a surplus of calories in areas where we least want them. And since other factors in my life have left me mentally unable to consume much food, it should all work toward the same end.
So this is my goal and I have set to the task. Since I have to wake up every hour throughout the night to medicate myself, I take the opportunity to squeeze in a few sit-ups. I do more when I wake and off and on through the day. The change is starting to be apparent, though not nearly as much as I would have hoped for the first month.
Ultimately it may only be a step toward leaving a toned and fit corpse, but the washboard will be mine.

I wish you would hold off doing that till the eye infection has cleared and you are well rested.

I'm afraid I'll be the only one to see it, play it or even care about it. But it's a goal all the same.
