All but ghosts









The ghosts do not walk among us,

We are the ghosts,

Shells and shadows of former glory,

Caught up and regurgitated for the world to swallow whole once more.



I have nothing but repeated baron words to sell,

Hoping to one day be able to pay for my soul,

A costly sum indeed.



Certainty has no place here,

For certain is nothing but life and death,

They are the things we can be sure of,

But how can such uncertainty harbour certainty within itself?



Fake phrase and word,

Paragraphs that we have never heard,

Rotting as all things must,

Buried in dirt and dust,

As life remains to breath,

Wind she calls to me,

Sea she will never leave,



Our goddess moon white,

And father sun light; hang as a constant reminder,

To where we will soon be blessed then forgotten,

To the wastelands of eternity, Saved?



And as old wounds heal and time leaves them to tale,

We bring ourselves newly polished all but for the cracks,

We are so sure we can hide, I see, I see all too much.

Finally







One final limb swept fantasy,

One final gasping breath,

A final kiss for me my love,

And now I’m nothing but a mess,





One final heart breaking word,

One final tale to tell,

No final kisses for me my love,

For me there's no one else,



One final solid stare,

Where nothing else compares,

To look upon such deep eyes,

And long dark waving hair,



And now the final end,

And I seek to end myself.

I’m sure you know these words,

As they are your words to,

My days born from banality,

For they no longer include you?



I sense he drags you far,

Past fractured emotion lines,

And to the farthest stars,

Which once where yours and mine,



That ends my anticipation,

The silly hopes and dreams,
