Does your memory stray to a brighter sunny day, when I kissed you and called you sweetheart?
My Saturday finished with The Day The Earth Stood Still, when I first read this I thought it was going to be the original with Michael Rennie as I was unaware of a remake. Keanu Reeves, well he tried, but I did like the special effects!
So my Saturday is progressing wonderfully. I decided to watch the epic that is Spartacus. The thing is I couldn’t help giggling when it came to that scene when they all stand up and shout ‘’I’m Spartacus’’, thank you Monty Python!!
On with Dr Who … still happy.
Relaxing on a Saturday afternoon had me watching one of the Sinbad films, cheerful entertainment!
“Allah be with you but remember to tie up your camel”
Just to add, my grub for next week has all been cooked and is in the freezer, I now have a spotlessly clean kitchen.
Back to film watching .... me's happy!
I just can't help believin'
When she smiles up soft and gentle
With a trace of misty morning
And the promise of tomorrow in her eyes...
Today I stumbled from my bed
With thunder crashing in my head
My pillow still wet
From last night tears
And as I think of giving up...
When no-one else can understand me
When everything I do is wrong
You give me hope and consolation
You give me strength to carry on
And you're always there to lend a hand
...
Wow, never saw that coming.
Of course I’m talking about Torchwood and Miracle day!
Four Lions, I’d never heard of this film before let alone had it on my ‘to watch’ list, but I found it so funny. This was British humour with that awkward twist that would flop in the States for that reason alone.
Glad I stayed up for it.

Elvis, Buddy Holly, The Beatles...my earliest memories are of my mother 'blasting' tunes (LOL) when I was in my cot. Suspicious Minds has to be my favourite Elvis song but The Fine Young Cannibals do it brilliantly too :)
