I see rain not ghosts

We have a new government which is no surprise. I wonder, was it poetic that the sun broke through this morning as the news was announced? I don’t think there will be much change on the surface of things but time will tell.

I think most of the country was more interested in the football squad that was being named yesterday (even among those that don’t follow the sport), still it is the World Cup, and far more important than our politics :-P

It’s the only time we stand together as a country!

But whether it’s politics or sport, I see rain on the horizon!

I agree, and I think that it will be raining for a very very long time....oh theres a spot now...VAT going up!

Just as well the corrupt MPs got there payrise in last year.

I voted! It really was a lottery.... and a waste of time.

My daughter's birthday is today, I have no idea where the years have gone. She has been the one stable attribute in my life that has stayed constant and reliable.

We have arranged a party for her and a friend for Saturday, it's lucky they share the same friends, as it is we have a head count of 46.

On another note she has told me she has a boyfriend!! It tickled me when he requested to be a 'friend' on Facebook, it felt weird as I accepted I couldn't help feeling he was asking my permission to be more than just a friend. Have I lost a daughter to gain a son-in-law?!!! I need to wash this out my mind.
